So I've heard both...and that Battier is starting at the 4 so T-Mac can play the 3 still. Anyone have any good ideas as to whats going on? Thanks
McGrady's going to play at small forward so he can defend slower players which will conserve some energy for the offensive end. Meanwhile, Battier will play shooting guard (or defend the stronger of the two or three).
the two three designation doesnt matter. Battier will guard the better player offensively regardless of position. They will both be wings.

I see Battier getting some min. at PF when the Rockets want to go small. I can see Snyder TMac and Battier on the floor at the same time. This makes it more important to get another guy at center that can fit in that type of play. Rebound, get the ball out quick.
well we don't need him to contribute a lot, we just need someone to do the dirty work down low....and I think Kelvin can do that.
Dude is still in his early 30's....I wouldn't neccessarily consider him old yet.....he won't cost much, he can finish around the rim, and he'll grab a few boards for you.
Cato for the minimum to play the 3rd center. I could see it. Rockets have an oppurtunity to get 2 good players. Player Exception and the MLE. Roubounder and some scoring on the outside. They also need SF, but another scorer at any position is needed. Gooden would be great in a sign and trade. He wants more than the MLE, so will stay with Cleavland till next year. J.Jeffries size would be great to go along with a small line up. Wiz are said to match any reasonable offer. I think he wants more next year as an unre. free agent, too. I think they will both take their qualifying offer. Rockets still need another scorer, unless L.Head takes that role. He showed great flashes of getting to the rim, and hopefully he will have a stronger second half.
I think Battier is playing the 2. And Tmac playing 3. There are a lotta good 2's.So thats why Battier will be playing 2. And tmac 3 because he doesnt have good enough defense to guard those 2's.
ha ha I just wanted to know where to put them on Live 06. I was cringing at puttin Battier at the 4 cuz then he'd be guarding KG cuz my friend that I always play against uses the wolves
^^lol, that makes more sense because in a real game, all you need is a point 2 wings and post, with another of whatever usually
I don't want Jefferies here....I think Tmac,Battier and Snyder will be enough length at the sg/sf....I'd rather spend our money elsewhere.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">Cato is old and didn't really contribute that much when he was here.</div> Cato was very effective in his last year here, when he started at power forward. He is still a strong rebounder and shotblocker and I don't see how he won't help. At the very least, he could back up power forward and center, and I could see him starting at power forward as well. However, with Yao strictly as a post center now, that might not be so likely.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">Cato is old and didn't really contribute that much when he was here.</div> That's inaccurate and untrue. Cato played very good with the Rockets, but his contract may have been a little bloated. I'd take him back in a heartbeat and so should the Rockets.
