http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/powerRankings I'm confortable with this, its basically where we left off last season.
I love that position, and I think it's spot on. Although, I think we're a better team than Sacramento.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting phunDamentalz:</div><div class="quote_post">Pistons are only EIGHTH?????? They won how many games last year and they're 8th? that's nuts.</div> It's power rankings for next season. Considering they lost Ben Wallace, an all star and former defensive player of the year, I'm sure they are going to be ranked down a couple of notches.

Like I said, the power rankings are for next season. With the loss of Big Ben, they lost a huge defensive presence and leader. Considering how last year's Cavs took the Pistons to game 7 even with Big Ben, I can understand how they would rank the Cavs higher. Also, the Clippers are going to be a dangerous team next year. I think they may very well be one of the best teams in the west. With that being said, I don't really have any problems with their ranking either
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> the suns clippers and cavs ought to be below them though, because what have they really achieved besides winning a couple playoff series here and there? </div> The Suns have made it to the WCF two straight years with undermanned rosters...not to mention they made it this year WITHOUT one of the best players on thier roster in Amare. The Clippers pick I'm not too sure about but I guess it's because they retained their core and aqquired TT as well....oh great this is going to mean we're going to hear more "We're so underrated" bullcrap from the Pistons next season. Cavs- No way in hell am I doubting a team with Lebron anymore. And if I had to pick, I would pick the Cavs over the Pistons as well. If they stretched the Pistons out last year with a struggling Larry Hughes while the Pistons had everyone else in tact...and now with losing Ben and instead gaining Flip Murray, I don't see why the Cavs wouldn't be able to defeat this basic "lost defense; gained offense" Pistons team. Sorry, but the Pistons are slipping and thier window to wards the title has begun to fade...unless they make some changes of course.
Seems about right for the Lakers at this point. I think the Kings are better than our team, but they have to bring back Bonzi Wells. Remember, the Kings were one of the top teams in the league once they acquired Ron Ron. The Magic #29 is a head scratcher, I think they'll be right in the mix for a playoff seed in the East. I also think the Wizards are ranked a few spots too low. Pretty crazy to see the Clippers ranked at #5 EVER, but they took care of business in the offseason with Cassell coming back.
I like the spot for the Lakers. It's about where they probably should be. However, the Magic one is mind boggling. How can a team that ended that hot be that low?

I think the Magic are a legit playoff team next year. They have a great core of players and Dwight Howard is just going to get better and better each year. I think, with a core like they have, it's hard to argue against them at least making the playoffs next year.
In the article they mentioned farmar- do you think he is going to get much PT? We just need someone solid off the bench (whether its farmar or smush) to hold down the point. Other than that i'm looking for 15-20 per night for Turiaf, and 0ne helluva season

First and foremost is his performance in practice, training camp, and during the preseason. I think his attitude and his work ethic are going to effect it as well. But, in the end, it all depends on what PJax sees. If he thinks he's ready and if he's putting forth the effort, I think he gets some minutes. The other factor riding on this situation is how well Smush and Shammond perform. If either of them stumble and don't perform well, that too, could open the door for Farmar. Or, if Vujacic doens't perform, they might move Shammond to the SG and have him backup Kobe, and give Farmar more minutes as Smush's backup.
