<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SALT LAKE CITY (July 17, 2006) -- Day four of the Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue began at 3:00 p.m. at the Lifetime Activities Center at Salt Lake Community College, and apparently the Philadelphia 76ers (3-0) missed the memo. The San Antonio Spurs (2-1) scored the first eight points of the game and led 14-4 at one point in the first quarter in game 10 of the RMR. Philadelphia, the only undefeated team in the Revue, cut the lead to two points with a last second tip in before the quarter break.

In the second quarter, the 76ers took the lead for the first time in the game with a Glen McGowan bucket with 6:30 left in the first half. Thanks to McGowan?s 11 points in the first half, Philadelphia took the seven point lead at the half. While the Spurs shot 45 percent, the 76ers shot just 35 percent from the floor, yet the 76ers were 11-of-11 from the free throw line.

In the third quarter, the 76ers took over, led by the Revue?s third leading scorer Louis Williams. Williams hit a long three-pointer with less than a second left to push their lead to 19 points at the end of the third.

Edin Bavcic scored 13 points in the quarter for the 76ers while Williams had eight in the third alone. Bavcic was originally drafted by the Toronto Raptors this past year and was then acquired by Philadelphia in a draft day trade. Bavcic, born in Bosnia went on to score 21 points in the game.

In the fourth quarter, the 76ers increased their lead to as much as 29 points thanks to inexperience on the side of San Antonio. Air Force graduate, A.J. Khule got his first action for the Spurs in this Revue.

The 76ers shot 29 free throws in the game, while the Spurs only got to the line 17 times. The fourth quarter dragged on, but finally ended with the 76ers winning by the final score of 87-61. Williams led all scorers with 23 points while the leading scorer for the Spurs was Andre Brown who only had 13 points. </div>

Well we stilil remain undefeated, even with Randolph, Carney, Brown out. Williams with another good performance..he just needs to cut down the turnovers..anyone think he might be the Rocky Mountain Revue MVP?

8 turnovers by Louis. I don't know. That's a bit much IMO. I can't really say if he's going to win the MVP or not, since I have no idea how well other players are doing. Anyways, on the bright side, Louis did shoot 9-18, which is 50% from the field. That's pretty good. Great game by Bavic, scoring 21 points. It looked like Smith struggled a bit on offense, but at least he got 8 boards.

Btw, anyone know why Carney and Shav aren't playing? I know Bobby's out because of an injury. I hope he gets better soon because he has only played like 2 minutes in the RMR

Carney has the same injury as Jones as far as I know. I don't know why Shav didn't play today though.

Louis is doing good but 25 turnovers in 4 games makes me believe that he's taking a step in the wrong direction when it comes to making him a poing guard. He's having a decent summer league but that's far too many turnovers for a point guard...

Is it just me, or does it seem like Rodney Carney is going to be one of those players where, if he gets a minor injury, will be out for an extended period? I hope I’m wrong, but he seems kind of soft right now. Before the draft, he couldn’t work out due to an ankle injury (was it) and now he has missed all, but one summer league game due to injury. I don’t know if it’s just because he doesn’t think this matters much, but right now he is not looking to good.

Well, I don't know much about that ankle injury, but like Smitty said, Carney and Jones have the same injury, and both have been out for quite some time

The ankle injury I was talking about was the reason he couldn?t workout for us when he came to Philadelphia prior to the draft. This is another injury I?m just pointing out he seems to be injured often. In addition, when he is injured he misses an extended time period hopefully, that does not become a problem.

Well it's just not smart from every perspective to risk your lottery pick to play with an injury, minor or not, that could potentially turn into something bigger by playing with it in a summer league game. Him not working out due to an ankle injury isn't something you should be concerned about because minor injuries like those can become bad if you aggrivate it. Plus its a workout, plenty of players cancel workouts or don't participate in certain events because of minor injuries a flu and whatnot
