The two names that Pierce mentioned were Carlos Boozer and Morris Peterson.

As the offseason progresses, Pierce trusts that Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge will come up with intriguing deals and keep him up to date</div>

Peterson would be great in Boston, maybe he would get recognized more he brings good defense, and a nice outside shot.

Boozer? I hope we actually do trade him this time but I hope Utah gets a pick out of it, 1st rounder preferably.

glad to see mo pete is getting some love around the league.

if BC hasnt moved him thus far, i think its safe to say he isnt going anywhere. thats not to say that he wouldnt be shy to pull the trigger on a deal if the right piece came back in return...but mo's been great, and just had a career season in sam mitchell's system...i dont see him going to boston guys

to tell ya the truth, i actually think that Boozer would not be too bad...given that he can stay healthy, he would b a great low post scorer/rebounder, still quite young too...
not too sure if he is worth the risk, but if he pans out, we would look pretty solid, say if we traded wally/Big Al (as much as i dont wanna trade Al)
we would have a lineup of:
    Telfair/West/Rondo
    Allen/West/GG
    PP/GG
    Boozer/Gomes/Scali
    Perk/Theo/Jones
not too bad, wat, do ya'll think?

First...I hate Duke, thus I cannot and will never ever be able to like Boozer, and I wouldn't trust him to stay healthy (not that we can trust Big Al to). However That Lineup would be pretty damn good, I just have one problem with it....and that is the fact that YOU MENTIONED SCALI....GET HIM OUT!

Haha, i know, i know, i shuddered when I wrote that in myself...I was so cursing when he got him, but unfortunately, thats the way the ball bounces, n there's not much we can do!!
On a serious note, I think Utah would do that deal...only problem is, if Boozer cant stay healthy, we'd b screwed, well, not completely screwed because we have Gomes, but, Scal would b gettting more minutes [IMG], and that cant really be a good thing!

Scalabrine....Fat overpaid white guy....Gotta love it.

Boozer would be a great addition to Boston imo. If he stays healthy though.

I'm not sure how Pierce is expecting them to even get Peterson, but sure.

Amen brother. Can't stand the Duke alums. It's not even that I don't necessarily like Boozer, it's that I don't trust him. Nor should anyone else. He robbed a blind man for Christ's sweet sake, do you think he'd have any trouble screwing a team like the Celtics over?

First he stabs a blind man in the back in Cleveland, then he shorts a bunch of Mormons (is there a more well-meaning group of people than Mormons?) by milking his injuries, and then he comes to Boston. Forget it.

More than that, I'm totally with you on Scalabrine. I tried to give Danny the benefit of the doubt on that one, but I was wrong, and so was Ainge. Maybe they could pay him $3 mil a season to mop the floor and wear a uniform once or twice a week, when everyone else is hurt.

At the same time as all this, I know that Pierce was just saying that these are guys he would like to play with and little else. He didn't say, "let's go out and get 'em!" he just said he would like them here. So I guess making a big deal out of all this is just nonsense after all.

Happy to be of service. But let's not also forget that Ainge has said he wants to land an all-star this offseason, so perhaps Paul airing out his laundry in the press is a signal to the higher-ups that he hasn't forget Danny's claim.
