Damn. I just saw the first episode a couple of minutes ago. That Bank guy (might have got his name wrong) thought he was the ****, talking trash and acting all tough, but then got knocked out in the ring by K-9, who was the last boxer picked. Anyone seen this? Damn, that match just made my day. Never underestimate the underdog.

Yeah I'm glad the Contender is back. The first fight was good, K9 rocked the guy in the 5th round, but he should've ended the fight in the 3rd round. He got too cocky and let the guy back in the fight. He should have just bullied him around the ring like he did in Round 1 and Round 2.

I think he was tired because they said that K-9 was huffing and puffing. Then Bunk sort of came back. But it's always nice to see the underdog on top. Remember? When they were picking teams, nobody even wanted K-9, and Bank was like the team captain for the gold, and he was the one who got too cocky. He kept on talking trash and was calling K-9 out.

The guys name was Michael Clark, get it right.

I love this show. Anything that puts boxing in the limelight is good with me. This season has a lot more seasoned fighters, and I think it's going to be awesome. Ebo Elder is going to be vicious, he was once ranked 6th in the world or something, and he's still very young. The guy from Detroit, K9, is all power, no skill. Once he gets in there with someone a little bit taller, a little less arrogant, and with the same skills that Clark had (very skillfull fighter, just a bad matchup) he'll get outclassed.

None the less, this season should be awesome.

I watched the first few episodes of the first season. I absolutely loved that Mexican guy who beat that kid from Providence (Manfredo?). I actually lost interest in the show when they let Manfredo come back... it just defeated the purpose of celebrating the fact that the underdog had won.

Alfonso Gomez. The kid jumped up like 3 weight classes to be on the show, he was super-lightweight or a light-weight, I can't recall which one. He made about a 25 pound jump in weight. I loved the kid, he fought on pure heart. He could have a future in boxing if he stays in the weight class where he belongs.
