I think it's about time to bring back the focus on the true main man of the Nets, Jason Kidd. Frank must realize that Carter can't carry the team. The Nets offense and defense must start and end with Kidd. Kidd has given a lot for the Nets. He wants to win a championship in New Jersey. Kidd had an opportunity to play alongside Tim Duncan but he chose to stay in Jersey. We could have easily witnessed the Spurs winning the last NBA championship. Kidd has paid his dues. He deserves to win. For New Jersey to win, Jason Kidd has to lead.

That's why I want the Nets to run the offense through Kidd. We won like that before and maybe that's exactly what we need right now. Sure he's older but that doesn't mean he still can't lead us. Carter is great but I really don't think he can carry the team.

So true! The Nets is still Kidd's team.

    Boy! You are impossible!

They are saying they want Kidd to be the main offense, not Carter. They want Kidd to lead like he did so long ago. They are saying the team is slowly looking away from Kidd and to Carter. They don't want that.

I agree the offense should be run through Kidd, however you must all remember that this is not the team that appeared in two NBA Finals. The majority of Kidd's possessions were on the break, a result of our lockdown defense. Carter is not the defender that Kittles was, and we don't have a Kenyon Martin. Kidd's halfcourt abilities are still great, but our team doesn't have the neccessary role players to run a halfcourt team through Kidd (rebounders/shotblockers, perimeter sharpshooters, etc).

Well, I think we all know Kidd is the man in NJ, and that's not changing. VC, RJ and Nenad are just big pieces to the puzzle. Anyways, I'm not sure about running the offense through Kidd. He's not the type to break you down off the dribble and be a playmaker anymore. The goal on offense is to score and to get the best quality shots. Well when you have the ball in RJ and VC's hands, they can both do that more easily than Kidd. Jason will be the one with the ball at half court most of the time, calling out plays, and distrubuting the ball like always when it's right. If there's nothing there, he'll help create like he always has. When he wants to score, he'll try, usually by getting the ball in the post or just putting the ball on the floor. But we all know that VC and RJ are better scorers when putting the ball on the floor.

Kidd's the vocal leader on and off the court, by example too, so I'm not really sure what you are trying to say when you say J-Kidd has to lead if the Nets want to win. Well they've been winning for quite a while now, and they lost to the NBA Champs. Fact is, they weren't good enough last year to beat the Heat.

And I did, by posting on Justbball.....[IMG] No but seriously I did check around and found it.

I think that the Nets should look for a good perimeter defemder and a solid PF this offseason. Then I think they will be an excellent team.

Kidd must lead the team, the offense must go through him, meaning Kidd should handle the ball more and orchestrate... not necessarily break down the defense which he can still do. What happend last season was Kidd would bring the ball past half court then passes to Carter, and everyone knows what happens from there. Kidd must handle the ball more. Kidd will find his teammates.
