The full details of the trade are yet to be released, but RealGM.com will continue to update our users as the deal becomes official.

The Pacers have a $7.5 million trade exception, which will likely be involved in the deal.

The Warriors and Bulls were the two other teams believed to be most interested in acquiring Harrington.

A solid replacement for Peja. Plays offense and defense well.

He plays offense well but not defense....He is terrible on defense. He is just like one of those poles in football practice.

Harrington isn't terrible on defense, but he's definately not a "good" defender. When I first heard this I had a feeling it would be for Stephen Jackson, which would be funny since they switched places back in 03-04, but I'm hearing they'll use the trade exception they have.

The Pacers should be fun to watch if they go with a small lineup. They should trade Johnson or Tinsley or Jackson. Yeah that woulda been funny if Jackson was involved in the trade.

PG Marquis
SG Jackson
SF Granger
PF Harrington
C O'Neal

It'll be hard for them to stop teams, but their offense should be pretty nice. Pacers looks like they'll make the playoffs if everything clicks, but 1st round exit most likely, I hope they go far though.

Maruis Daniels will not start at PG dude. Sure he can play it but no way he'll start it right away. If you watch the FInals for example, he didnt have the confidence to dribble it down the court, and often lost his dribble or threw it away for a turnover. Daniels is truly a swingman untill he can work on his offensive awareness.

Still, having Marquis and Stephen Jackson in the backcourt, that would be pretty cool, like a Jamaican sensation backcourt!

Indiana is certainly not a lottery team, I'm sure they are a playoff team, they lost Peja, lost Croshere, who didn't do much for them this year for and they got a lot of new pieces in Harrington, Marquis Daniels, Shawne Williams, and Danny Granger is still developing. They will be solid.

I'm guessing Daniels is going to come of the bench in Indiana too, because I don't think Harrington will start at PF, Jackson will probably start SG and Al at SF.

Great deal for the Pacers which looks to be for virtually nothing. Harrington adds depth to the small and power forward position. This gives Indiana a lot of options as far as what to put on the floor. There's just so many possibilities when you add Harrington.

I won't believe this until I see it on ESPN or NBA.com. I still have yet to see who the Hawks have gotten back, and that link takes me to RealGM, which isn't crediable at all.

I sort of dont like this, seems like it will hinder the development of some of the younger guys, also creates a bit of a log jam at SF.

Why was he traded out of Indiana in the first place?

Ironic, it he would've waited another season, he could've watched Artest dissipate and made a name for himself on a team with a shade of talent, rather than ATL.

Al definitely adds more scoring punch. Now Indiana won't have to rely upon the inconsistency of SJ so much.
