Put Redd in front of Pierce, Redd has the quickest shot ever and with all them European players shooting threes like crazy, we are going to need him. Pierce isn't really bringing anything to the table. We have LeBron, Wade and Amare who will do most of the scoring at time.

Shawn marion will probbaly not play the 4, he's a natural 3. He only plays the four in d'antonis run and gun style. I'm pretty sure it will be howard in shawn's place.

Like I said, cuts need to be made, only 12 guys will be playing. If you're talking about this summer, Kobe, Billups, and Redd are all out. From what coach K has said, it seems like Chris Paul will be the starting PG, and he's also interested in using Wade and Lebron at PG.

So:

PG: Chris Paul
SG: Dwyane Wade
SF: Lebron James
PF: Elton Brand
C: Brad Miller

SG/PG: Gilbert Arenas
SG/SF: Joe Johnson
SF/PF: Shane Battier
PG/SG: Kirk Hinrich
PF: Chris Bosh
C: Dwight Howard
SF: Carmelo Anthony

Depth Chart:

PG: Chris Paul / Kirk Hinrich / Gilbert Arenas / Dwyane Wade (also Lebron and JJ can play this)

SG: Dwyane Wade / Gilbert Arenas / Joe Johnson

SF: Lebron James / Shane Battier / Carmelo Anthony / Joe Johnson

PF: Elton Brand / Chris Bosh / Lebron James / Shane Battier / Carmelo?

C: Brad Miller / Dwight Howard / Chris Bosh / Elton Brand

You don't need Bowen when you have Battier. One or the other.

I'd like Gilbert Arenas to start for Team USA. You guys already know his passion for the game of basketball and how hard he works.

Man, I didn't even remember him, but Battier can fill his role, so it's okay. You could take out Joe Johnson or Carmelo for him, but Johnson with good help is a pretty good defender, and I like his shooting and versatility.

The interviews with Gil are great. It's so nice how he's so willing to give up all scoring, and just be a defender and playmaker who hit's open shots. The problem though is that from what Coach K said after the practices, it didn't seem like he was considering Gil as a PG. He mentiond Paul, Hinrich, Ridnour, Billups even though he won't play this summer, and also Wade and Lebron at point, but not Arenas.

I know he's in love with Paul, but I haven't heard much about the other guys. I also heard he put Arenas on the defensive team in practice which had guys like Marion etc, and they were causing havok against Wade, Lebron etc, getting in passing lanes, picking up full court etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if he liked Joe Johnson though. He can handle the ball, he's a playmaker, he can shoot, he's a smart player, he won't jack shots, he can defend, he has good size, I mean he really does do everything, and the guy has great stamina too.

They need a "pass first" guard running that team, so I think Chris Paul or Luke Ridnour would be the best bet for PG.

G - Chris Paul / Kirk Hinrich / Chauncey Billups
G - Dwyane Wade / Shane Battier / JJ Redick
F - LeBron James / Joe Johnson / Bruce Bowen
F - Dwight Howard / Shawn Marion / Chris Bosh
C - Brad Miller / Elton Brand / Amare Stoudemire

Team USA, in my mind, is going to make a statement being that just because you're a super-star doesn't mean you're going to make the team. Guys like Kirk Hinrich, Shane Battier, and Bruce Bowen will make the team purely on their defensive ability. Guys like LeBron James, Joe Johnson, Chris Paul, and Brad Miller will make the team for their unique ability to share the ball.

Where's Carmelo? I'd take Reddick out, move Joe Johnson to SG and add Carmelo to back Lebron.

that SF spot is jammed. LBJ is the only lock for that spot. I dont know, the race should be fairly tight.
