After five seasons with the Chicago Bulls, Chandler can't wait to get a fresh start with the Hornets, who obtained him in a trade earlier this month in exchange for veteran forward P.J. Brown and second-year guard J.R. Smith. ... "I've been working on everything, starting with free throws, since the season ended," Chandler said. "I've been shooting 100 shots a day, correcting a little hitch that I had developed. I've been getting up mid-range jump shots. It's like I went back to the lab and started all over again." </div> Source

I hope he does have a great season. but being a chicagoan Ive heard this same story year after year. I hope he works out for you. GL NO!
Why didn't he do this when the Bulls had him.. Anyways, I'd like to see if he has gained more offensive skills when the season starts.

He has been working with Odom and Pierce I heard, been lifting weights, and been working on his jumper. The "New" Tyson should be a sight to see. I always knew this kid had it in him!

I just meant I'm interested in what he's going to do next season. If that's what you thought.
Well he was suposedly doing those same things with chicago. and why the heck would he work out with guards he needs to get some FOOTWORK!!! P.S.he should hire carl malone to train him....... hes swole!!!! JK
He did say he couldn't wait to work out this summer because he didn't do much last summer because of his contract negotiations. I can't wait to see what he can do.
Would have been nice if he'd have figured out what a work ethic was when he was in Chicago. But hell, 100 shots a day isn't exactly a lot. I was doing that and then some during the winter, and I'm not even on a team nor do I have intentions of trying out one. Regardless, at least he's finally starting out in the right direction. I hope he bodes well with you guys and I'd love to see him succeed even without wearing the Bulls uniform.

I don't see how that prevents a player from going to the gym and working on his game or hitting the weights.
I remember every summer break the past three years receiving an Email from the Bulls writing about how Tyson has done so much work to improve his free throws, shooting, blah blah etc. It's the same thing each year it seems. I'm not saying he can't improve and I wish him all the luck. Same with the Hornets and their fans. I'm just saying that they always will write some BS to get you excited just wait until the season starts to get a better perception of the man in action. Good luck you guys and gals.

If done with a trainer are impossible to get injured. what was his excuse the season before, and the season before that? Hes just Lazy. hes good for 3 oops a game from paul. thats about it. but maybe he has really changed.

It isn't a GREAT improvement but its still noticeable. Also he did do shooting drills, foot work, and etc, during last offseasons just not much. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hes just Lazy. hes good for 3 oops a game from paul. thats about it. but maybe he has really changed.</div> Has anyone watched Tysons offensive and defensive game? He really isn't that bad, he has some instincts. and great awareness. Also I wouldn't say he is lazy.
Great awareness? Hmmm... Sometimes a pass will come right at him in the open and he'll flop it. Makes you want to smack him around a few times knowing you'd do better than that, it's shameful.

A lot of people underrate Tyson imo. He has a lot of potential and he already is a decent player. He can give you 10 PPG, 10 RPG, and 2 BPG easily I think if given the chance. His offense is also underrated, here you can see Shades of a good turn around jumper Just a Mix

Every free agent, especially free agents for the first time take it easy during that offseason cause they don't wanna get hurt lifting or playing in scrimmages. You can say the chances of him getting hurt are small but the chances are there and when you got 60 million on the line, you don't take that risk. It's been the story of the whole season, which is why I was upset when the bulls traded him cause I was really looking to see what he would do this year after a full summer of conditioning. As for osmeone above saying his offense isn't that bad. It really is pretty bad, I'm not saying that trying to be a spiteful bulls fan, but he needs some discipline all around. On defense he gets excited early and fouls and on offense he gets too excited and tosses up a brick. He needs to focus inside then out working on some put back dunks and easy stuff then getting to his mid range and post game.
