From experience with both all I can say is that if PC wasn't still more compatible with games and devices than Mac I'd go with Mac all the way. I hate PC issues no matter which you have. Programs are the same issues. XP is said to be great, yeah when compared to ME which is basically the virus. I can't stand the technical issues that come with PCs while the Mac has not once given me a single problem with running, installing, etc. Nothing, not a damn thing. PC is near crap compared to a Mac, but the compatability gets me every time.

I've never had a Mac in my life. But I do admit they're pretty stylish and I've seen the OS a bit and it seems extremely clean and modern.
It's not just you that gets caught by the compatability issue. I think everyone would have given Mac a try by now if it weren't for lack of compatability, especially for games.

This reminds me of some dude in my college. He's a stange kid and he goes crazy if you say Microsoft computers are better than Apple Mac's. He also goes crazy if you say something positive about Bill Gates.

If you know how to maintain a computer, you shouldn't have any problems with a PC (provided you have quality parts and don't buy from a crap manufacturer). With the kind of money people spend on a Mac, I can get something much more powerful in a PC.

MAC = overpriced, overhyped as with iPods.

And yes, I have experience with Macs (I worked at tech support for an ISP).

The new macs have pentium processors as well as the mac ones. sorry i dont know any lingo, but basically you can run either mac or pc programs on mac computers.

Macs dominate btw. I ahve owned both, PC's do tons of annoying stuff for you and are always loading stuff u dont want. Macs do what u tell em, when u tell him.

Why deal with that when you can just jump on a Mac and use your computer for what you enjoy, without worrying about all the other crap? And I don't care what you say, PCs are going to have problems no matter how well you maintain them. Trust me, my PC is more secure than the CIA's computers, and I still have issues here and there.

Sure, maybe you can get a "more powerful" PC for the money, but what do you need the extra power for? My laptop's specs surpass my Mac's by far, yet my Mac is way more stable. It never freezes, never stutters, never stalls, etc. etc.. It also doesn't have any memory leaks like PCs do. To tell you the truth, I haven't rebooted my Mac in about a month, and it still runs as good as it did the first day I bought it. If I leave my PC on for 2-3 days, it runs so slow I have no choice but to reboot.

I didn't know, the Mac I have is a few years old and only supports what originally is designed for it's components. I've been a bit out of the whole new computers craze these days. I've been meaning to get a new Mac next, I just bought new PC comps in December and even though both are great with their performance I'm still itching to get a new Mac with all of the new features I've been looking at recently. Did you ever take a view of that new monitor from Apple that is nearly the size of a large HD television? I can't remember the exact name but man did I drool over it. That'll take a few years to get but I'll definitely be putting it on my to get list. Also yes, Mac comps are the best. Even with my old one it's responsive more than anything else I've used not to mention I've never once had to call in for maintenance.

^^I've seen it, and yup, it is just about the best thing ever.

and the new macs support both, i am sure of it, but not sure how it works.

BTW, i have never turned off, or restarted my mac laptop ever besides when i install something new and i have to. I have had it for over a year, NO JOKE.

I know, my Mac is getting old and I never had to restart it over issues either. Like I wrote it never once gave me mechanical issues. As for compatibility I'll have to check. I'm very good with computer programming on both brands.
