<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Lakers center Chris Mihm will undergo arthroscopic surgery Wednesday to have scar tissue removed from his right ankle. Mihm should be able to return to the court in four to six weeks, and be fully recovered by the start of training camp. He first injured the ankle in the final seconds of a game against Seattle on March 12. He sat out the next 17 games, then returned to play 14 minutes in the regular-season finale against New Orleans on April 19. He was unable to play in the Lakers' first-round playoff series against Phoenix. Mihm averaged a career-high 10.2 points, with 6.3 rebounds and 1.24 blocks while appearing in 59 games last season.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2526624 jeez, everyone's getting surgery... well, here's to hoping everything goes well.
Yeah, it kind of sucks how everyone's getting hurt. But think of it this way. Better to have it now than in the regular season.

This is scar tissue from Mihm's ankle injury that ended his season. He was on the radio the other day, he said the ankle hasn't got much better. He said it still gets extremely painful and he might need more than one surgery. Docs told him his tendons might not be healed fully.

Yeah, it was a horrible injury. And ankle injuries are very nagging, this could bother Mihm well into the season.
I hear where TBMs coming from. Once you hurt your ankle once, your bound to do it again (speaking from personal experience). With an ankle, if you mess it up one time, especially if its the ligaments and tendons, it's never, ever going to be as strong as it once was, just because of how much you use it. That's why people always seem to reinjure an ankle after injuring it one time. With Mihm, I hope this isn't a serious ankle surgery. We're going to need him during the season, that way we don't have to throw a lot of minutes on Bynum right now.
Damn. I never realized this injury was so serious. I really hope Mihm takes the time to recover and doesn't rush back. We need this guy healthy, because like most said, I'm not comfortable giving Bynum huge minutes seeing that he can't even be consistent in the summer league
