Orlando gives up: Keyon Dooling Hedo Turkoglu Darko Milicic Pat Garrity Orlando gets: Tracy McGrady Personally, I would jump on it IF Darko wasn't in the trade. I'm a huge T-Mac fan, but I think we may be giving up too much for him. T-Mac's back is a big problem too, and Darko has too much potential. So, my final answer is no. What do you guys think? *Remember, this was another board*
Why would the Rockets do it? A superstar for pretty much a bunch of scrubs (compared to Mcgrady). Sure Tracy has had his problems with his back, but why would the Rockets trade him when they did so well with a healthy Mcgrady and Yao? Also doesn?t Mcgrady have a problem with management or something ever since his trade. I know there is a new general manager and everything, but would he be willing to return to Orlando?
I know the Rockets wouldn't do it. What I'm asking is: Would you guys do it? A lot of people from another bored is saying "No". But I would gladly welcome T-Mac back home.

If I were the Magic's GM and someone offered me that trade I would have a heart attack.
I wouldn't do it. Tmac has dissed our organization in the past and I don't want someone like that on our roster. He's also said he basically quit on the Magic. Another undesirable trait for me. Also would he be happy being the 2nd fiddle again? The reason he left Toronto was to be the man and he went to Houston and he's still the man in Houston. Dwight would be the man in Orlando, could Tmac deal with that? So overall I would say no.
Why would T-Mac want to come back to the team he couldnt wait to leave? Even after they drafted Dwight. I would probally do it though if I was the GM of Orlando, wouldnt be too keen on giving up Darko though. C - Tony Battie PF - Dwight Howard SF - Tracy McGrady SG - J.J Redick PG - Jameer Nelson That looks a promising team on paper.
No way in heck you guys get T-Mac back, do you think he's really willing to go back to a hated Orlando after 2 years in Houston with the Great Wall of China? No way the Rockets would do it either, we've built the franchise around those two, why else would we have gotten rid of Rudy Gay?
Guys tone it down on the " OMG NO WAI WOULD DIS HAPPIN! " Its just a made up scenario and he wants input. I agree with everything Gators said.
I wouldnt want him back and im pretty sure the Magic wouldnt either. He couldnt wait to leave and when he did he took shots at the organization. Granted Wiesbrod was a jackass too, I think we would be better off without Tmac. The man can play, but as an organization you can not bring back a player that quit on you.
If I was Orlando, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The only thing that would stop me is McGrady's attitude toward Orlando, but hey the team looks a lot different now compared to how it was back when he was traded. Basically, its just a bunch of scrubs for a superstar in McGrady. You'd have to be on all sorts of drugs to not do this. Millicic still is just what he is, potential. There's tons of players in the league that have potential and yet have not panned out. Dalembert is a great example of this. He shows a helluva lot of potential and flashes of greatness, but thats pretty much all he is. You still don't know how extended minutes and games will treat Darko so why not just get a bonafide superstar (still young as well) in McGrady? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Also would he be happy being the 2nd fiddle again? Besides, Howard's offensive game isn't exactly that polished yet (that I know of, since I don't follow the team that much). Isn't it true he still lacks a consistent midrange jumper and a reliable go to post move? If it is true, it would actually be a good thing for the team for McGrady to handle a bit more of the offensive load which takes some pressure and double teams off Howard. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Im positive Tmac wants to end his career in Houston. </div> Chill bro, its just a made up scenario.
This trade favors Houston IMO Orlando is giving up way too much potential plus a proven scorer in Hedo.

The Magic got off to a 1-19 start, he placed most of the blame on coach Doc Rivers. Rivers was subsequently fired, and then McGrady quit on the team late in the season. He forced a trade and is now with the Houston Rockets; we'll see if playing for Jeff Van Gundy and with Yao Ming will get him over his season of woe.</div> http://sportsline.com/nba/story/7684458 If you ask any Magic fan they will tell you as well. I am not sure, but I believe Mcgrady was even quoted saying he quit himself.
It doesn't seem to me that a Magic fan would want T-Mac back in an Orlando uniform. It's clear that the Magic are moving in a different direction by building through the draft with guys like Jameer, JJ, and Dwight. The only huge roster acquisition in the near future I can see the Magic making would be to make a run at Josh Howard, next year, in free agency.
no, i wouldn't do it. maybe those players for a bit of a better player. dont get me wrong, tmacs amazing, but theres still better (healthier, also) players out there.
