I've liked Jones from the start, he's a perfect fit with TJ Ford and Calderon on the fast break, and having him gives us four guards who can finish on the wing (Mo Pete, Graham, Parker, Jones), we can have two of those players on the court at any time, and Tucker is always a wildcard. What a joy the Raps will be to watch from now on. With this lineup, we'll be playing the fast break almost perfectly. Jones also gives us a more proficient outside shooter, compared to John Salmons.

I wouldn't neccessarily brag about Jones' outside shooting prowess because he's streaky at best. Sure he's a better shooter than Salmons, but I would of loved Salmons versitility more than Jones' ability to run with TJ, make the odd flashy dunk and hit a three pointer every once in a while. Once again one of the areas that hurt us the most last season was that our backcourt was very undersized. Well guess what, we're even smaller now and we'll definitely see where this affects us on the defensive end when TJ and Fred go up against much bigger backcourts. [IMG]

Anyhow being undersized aside, we're still better off with TJ, but I'm not getting my hopes up thinking that Parker or Jones were our answer to finding a serviceable swingman this offseason. A gamble with both, so let's hope that BC knows what he's doing because right now the only two that I'm extremely comfortable with in our backcourt are TJ and Mo.
