    i loved watching slava play.

of course only for the comedic value!! [IMG]

btw, when i talk about jr rider being disappointing, i meant it as like...disappointing in life. not just in a lakers uniform.

i hated the glen rice deal because eddie jones was my favorite laker at the time...but then they won a championship and i was pretty satisfied. then glen rice's wife started complaining about his pt (his WIFE??) and i was upset with the trade again. how fickle i am

glen rice was dissapointing because i thought he was a better 3 point shooter instead fisher that year was one of the better 3 point shooters on the team. Gary Payton and Karl Malone was a letdown. They did not even play like allstars.

Probably Elden Campbell, he played half-assed basketball.

I don't think Malone was a real disappointment, he gave us 13.2 PPG and 8.7 RPG as a third option, I wasn't expecting his numbers from his Utah days as the first option.

With Payton, he never fit in the first place, he's not a triangle point guard, he needs the ball to be effective.

The only part that was disappointing was the injury to Malone in the Finals. Since Horace Grant was already hurt, that left us with Slava Medvedenko, which was the end of our chances.

YES! Post 100! Not too bad, only took me about 4 days... hurrah!

Psh......wow, look at Glen Rice's numbers again. He was VERY good for us, and he was the 'best in the business' (as said by Chick Hearn RIP) at threes.

What! Tierre Brown? The guy has good handles, I'll give him props for that. He can break ankles, but for him it's useless since when he gets to the rim, he bricks his layup. Plus, his defense is as bad as Chucky's.

I can't call Kwame a complete let down. He had a strong end of the season when Mihm went down and had a good playoff series against the Suns. I think he'll have a stronger season this year, simply cause he's the starting center instead of PF from day one, the position he's more comfortable at.

guh, Tierre and Atkins, at that time, that had to have been at the bottom of the NBA in terms of PG depth.

I know they had big numbers but to me they were dissapointing as players. Players i would get frustrated mostly were elden cambell, chucky atkins, and samaki walker.

I thought he played descently, I think he just always had this 'look' on his face like he played half ass though, I swear his expression never changes [IMG]

    Payton was dissapointing.

    <font color=""Red"">Gary Payton</font>

5 million dollars so we could get a starter who is way past his prime on defense and only average 7.8 points on 37% shooting (35 MPG) during the playoffs.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trench:</div><div class="quote_post">Glenn Rice in exchange for Elden Campbell and Eddie Jones! What a JOKE!!!! WORST TRADE EVER!!! I was a huge fan of Campbell. Cant believe this deal went down.

Somebody just doesn't like Glenn. I mean this was the beginning of their 3 year rain. And they had the best regular season record outta the 3 year rain when they had him. 67 wins and Shaq won MVP. I think he averaged 18 points two. That's a ton when having Shaq and Kobe.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bruin007:</div><div class="quote_post">Didnt the Lakers win the Championship the same year this trade went down? If so, it was a great trade.
    </div>

Glenn Rice didn't do much... Even without him they would still win. Jones and Campbell would have played as role players for more than 2 spots. They paid too much of a price for Rice to be just a role player.
