^And how wold you know? C'mon dawg..give the dude a chance, he's only been in the league for a year. He coulda end up being the best player in last year's draft when it's all said and done.

He didn't do bad last season. 8.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg. And I'm guessing he's improved by looking at what he did in summer league, even though it is summer league. And he's just going to get more minutes.

Ok but he wasn't as good as he was suppose to turn out to be. He was 2nd drafted! He is suppose to be like Melo or someone. But he was not impressive. Ok i will give him time to prove me wrong. He still got time.

I don't think that's fair. He was pretty much a High School player (only one year in college) playing on a team flooded with quality young SFs (Josh Smith and Josh Childress). Plus, other than Chris Paul, how many rookies averaged double figures? Even Bogut averaged 9.4 and he was number 1. I think you're just spoiled after the Class of '03. Very few rookies come out averaging over 20 a game like Melo. 8.5 PPG is very respectable for a rookie. Just give him a chance to shine.

I still think he'll end up being a bust like most #2 picks do.. Its the curse of being chosen #2 in an NBA draft.

He was good last season, especially considering he was only 19 and still very raw. Everyone knew when he was drafted he wasn't going to come in and make a huge impact early on, he's a project. I think he's going have another solid year this year, probably 13/5 or something like that, and then breakout next season. You just have to realize, he wasn't expected to be phenomenal quite yet...just give him some time. That's like the people that are already giving up on Bynum...but that's a diff topic.

People will be flooding to the paint if that happens. No way is he getting benched, especially after how much he improved at the latter part of last season, showing off a pretty good jumpshot.
