Does anyone still look back at his quote and laugh as I do? Going to the Knicks and stating he was happy to finally be part of a ?winning organization?? The year after he leaves we go to the playoffs with home court advantage, the next year we go to the playoffs again and give the eventual champs a run for there money, and now we are favorites to make it out of the east next season. How does everyone think Crawford feels now?

Wouldn't you think that after all those millions he's getting paid, he'd have that testicle removed from his lip?

    Oh definitely. [IMG]

Jamal Crawford was a disapointment for me. Not on the scoring end of course but the remarks he made about the team and leaving, believing nothing would come of this organization when the Knicks ended up being a disaster. I feel bad for NYK fans though, they had so much promise to that handful of talent and it amounted to nothing. What a shame for such a prestigious team.

I wonder when he was last in a "winning situation". He had that one good year with us which was his contract year and that was also when he played a lot more than the 3 previous seasons.

slow down on feeling bad for knicks fans...i go to school in new york and all of my friends are knicks fans, and while i was trying to tell them that every deal isiah was making was bad, they were all singing his praises, saying "WE GOT STARBURY" and "STEVE FRANCIS IS THE MAN" and "EDDY CURRY, HE WAS DRAFTED 3rd" (i think). funny thing is they were all MAD at his draft last year, and i tried convincing them that Channing and Nate Rob were ballers, and even that David Lee could be pretty damn good as a rebounding beast, but NO they wouldn't listen because they knew nothing about these guys. Personally, Knicks fans annoy me more than any fan base besides the Yankees, and I LOVE seeing the Knicks suck, because they thought that they could just throw around money like the Yankees and because of that be successful, starting with the Allan Houston deal which at the time I thought was one of the worst deals ever (and proved to be pretty damn bad). They didn't realize that you have to spend intelligently, even if you're spending twice as much as everyone else, and they have paid dearly for not doing that. THANK YOU, SCOTT LAYDEN and ISIAH, for ruining the team I hate so much!
But please get rid of my boy Channing, he should NOT have to suffer for your lack of intelligence

Considering this was a quote from March 28, 2005, it's hard to knock Crawford. And the Knicks that season, despite accumulating a 33-49 record, weren't too bad, actually. They just couldn't deliver in the clutch. Houston was the team's best closer and clutchest player and when he went down, the team had a hard time adjusting. The Knicks, that season, lost 30 of 49 games by a margin of six points or less. That's not to mention close games that were bloated by free throws at the end. Prior to getting Crawford, the Knicks went to the playoffs as the 7th seed and got swept by the Nets without Houston or Tim Thomas.

Oh I'm not going to disagree with you here what-so-ever. I hate the Yankees fans myself. As a die hard White Sox fan it was also a dream of mine to see the Red Sox trample the Yanks and win the World Series. I had two great things happen back to back seasons. [IMG]

As for the Knicks I respect them because of the old school rivalry, even if it's not as strong as the Bulls/Pacers was IMO. In most instances you cannot win by dishing around money as it all depends on who you actually spend it on. Yes this is proven by the Yankees and Knicks, that's for sure. They sure as hell don't have the brains to set up a great core of players like let say Chelsea F.C. or F.C. Barcelona is the football (soccer) world.

It's funny: a New York team always seems to try to just throw away money in order to win games and it always comes back to haunt them. Yankees. Knicks. Rangers. Maybe it's the pressure of the biggest market?
