Here are some rumors about the NFL Draft right now. Take it for what it's worth.

    1. Vince Young is still up in the air on whether he will enter. Some say he's staying in school while others have stated that he's in search for an agent.

    2. Green Bay is highly scouting Matt Leinart and if Bush is off the board when they pick and Leinart is on the board TT would consider going Leinart. Aaron Rodgers contract is light and moveable.

    3. Houston is up in the air. Right now if they stay it appears to be Reggie Bush. If they cut Carr too save 8 million $$$ it might be Matt Leinart. D'Brickashaw Ferguson a Tackle from Virginia is also high on their board. Another rumor stated that they will clean house. Meaning New Coaches and New GM. The name mentioned is Pete Carroll. Sources say Carroll will only leave USC if he can be a GM and Head Coach.

    4. The Vikings are very high on Laurence Maroney. They rate him ahead of DeAngelo Williams who is considered to be a top 10 pick as does Green Bay.

    5. Marcus McNeil a 6-9 345 OT from Auburn was projected too be a top 10 pick. Now he's up in the air. I heard he's still a top 10 pick but I also heard he's slipping. Jon Scott was once considered the 2nd best tackle in the draft but now is projected to slip to the end of round 1. Eric Winston has claimed the #2 spot for his own and Joe Thomas of WISCONSIN [IMG] is said to be #3 ranked OT in the draft. If Thomas stays for his senior year he's projected as a top 5 pick then.

I just can't imagine the Packers taking Leinart. I mean, I'm not 100% sold on Rodgers, but I don't see Leinart being any more of a "sure thing" at this point than Rodgers is.

Who is the best available Defensive Tackle in theory? I seriously doubt Grady Jackson will be back and that will immediately become the most glaring hole on either side of the ball for the Packers next year (assuming Favre returns for one more season).

Alot of experts will say Rodrick Wright of Texas. Don't rule out Native Utahn & U Oregon DT Haloti Ngata.

I can't see Houston taking Reggie after having invested seious bank in Domanick Davis. Ravens could cut ties W/ J Lewis and draft Bush.

Ngata is clearly the top DT in this draft. Wright hasn't played bad but Ngata's size and his burst off the line gives him the nod over Wright. Ngata is also a big guy so GB will take a look at him. He'll most likely enter. Wrigth right now is projected as a top 10 talent but will probably fall because of need.. Giants are said too be high on Wright..

Baltimore will trade ANYTHING, I MEAN ANYTHING, for Kyle Boller. Just kidding, as long as Billick is still Head Coach, he ain't going anywhere.

I say we ship rodgers out for a 2nd and 3rd round pick pending if Favre comes back and if Reggie Bush is not available although I say we pick up A.J Hawk(also if still available) to take over the MLB spot and then move Nick Barnett to the outside and then draft a QB like Cutler or Quinn(if he leaves and if available) in the early 2nd.

It wouldn't bother me if McNeil slipped, to say, 15. I've heard D'brickshaw Ferguson of UVa is supposed to be all that.

If the packers draft Leinhart then that means the TT will probly be out of a job because 2 QBs in a row means ur GM sucks.

How is he a wasted pick when the Packers haven't given him a chance to prove himself?

Yes, I really questioned the pick of Aaron Rodgers. They clearly had bigger holes to fill, and how often do 1st Round QB's pan out? Usually its the 3rd, 4th, 5th round QB's that end up being the stable starting QB's in the league.

I don't think that Houston going to let Carr go. They need OL and probably trade down.

Right now he's dropped to the 3rd best TE in the draft pending his combine. Marcedes Lewis of UCLA is a top 20 pick and Vernon Davis of Maryland is a late first rounder. Pope is a early second in my opinion as on now. Pending the combine he could pass Davis to become the 2nd rated TE on most boards. I don't think he'll put up good enough numbers to pass Lewis though.
