<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Once I get the ball in the post, I can score. But for me, it's about playing defense, rebounding and trying to block all the shots." </div> That's what I like to hear. He's going to learn some good stuff being in the USA Training Camp. I'm gettin' really hyped for this coming up season! http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/...htm?POE=SPOISVA
IMO he can be an Alonzo Mourning player minus the passion and intensity (not that he lacks it, but it's Zo)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tycoon21:</div><div class="quote_post">i think he has potential to be better than Zo</div>Statistically maybe. Alonzo was in his prime when he got injured so you'll never "what could've been". But if you wanna talk about stats, look at how the current past-his-prime-kidney-transplant Zo faired against Howard when Shaq was injured: http://www.nba.com/games/20051126/MIAORL/b...e.html?nav=page Zo: 15ppg, 21rpg (tied career high), 4blk D12: 15ppg 16rpg 4blk And trust me, Zo is the premier defensive Center in the NBA. Every offensive player in the game knows from experience who he is. I bet even Howard would respect that a guy almost twice his age, that probably shouldn't even be there, managed to outplay him because his will was strong enough.

(not taking anything away from him though, he is amazing even with the kidney problems in the past its good to see a player with his passion for the game)
IMO Dwight can be the next Shaq in terms of dominance. This kid has the potential and I think he will become better than Zo Heat4Life. Not as much as a defensive monster as Zo but definitly no chump. Look at the kid now. Does anyone remember his 28-26 game vs. Philly? That was classic. Phew.....don't get me started on Dwight.
Yeah Dwight doesn't have the shotblocking abilities that Zo has (yet) but I see him dominating this league. He is massive and if he keeps putting on muscle and keeos bulking up, I could see him as a Shaq type player. Let's just hope he works on his free throws.
Hmm, I'm not sure because I haven't seen enough of Oden and we really won't know until Oden plays some better competition. However, I really hope Oden doesn't end up in the East just incase.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chuck:</div><div class="quote_post">The real question is Dwight or Oden</div> DWIGHT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ODEN. I mean Oden is already in line to missing more college games in his first season then Dwight has missed in 2 years in the NBA. I'm not biased or anything though.
Oden's an inch taller than Dwight but 20 pounds lighter. I really don't know anything about Oden so I have nothing to say, but he'd have to be phenomenal to be better than Dwight.
