How Good Was Jordan's Defense?

    I think playing mind games and playing hard physical all in your face defense are two different things.

    exactly look at bird no physical advantage against anyother player maybe the greatest of all time . Jordan admits that he knew that when he went into the Boston Garden he was done for because larry bird and kevin mchale knew they were gonna win.

    I think that if Jordan and Pippen put 100% of their energy into their defence then Jordan would be a better defender. You have to acknowledge the fact that MJ put tons of energy into his offence and that every play was run through him. Even if you took his defence away he still would've been a great player. So just the fact that he played great defence and won All-Nba defensive team awards is something that you should be amazed about.

    If Bird ever was defending Jordan, it was by accident. There's no way in hell he could have guarded Jordan.

    Bird had an unbelievable basktball IQ, so he was an effective team defender. But he was hardly a defensive stopper, one-on-one.
