<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Gary Moore, Allen Iverson's manager, confirmed that Billy King flew to Atlanta on Tuesday and with Iverson for roughly 2 ? hours in a hospitality suite in an area hotel. "We have never been more excited,'' Moore said last night. "We couldn't be more excited. Allen is very excited to be part of the team, and is looking forward to training camp. "Allen wasn't as surprised as he was relieved. He always wanted to be in Philadelphia, but he felt he had deserved better as far as communication.'' Moore termed the meeting "long overdue.'' Said Leon Rose, Iverson's agent: "He's happy, excited and can focus on the task at hand. I'm not surprised. I said I didn't think he'd be traded. That was my gut.</div> Source
AI will still be in a Sixers uniform, but the sad thing is that he won't be able to contend for a championship.
I don’t know why, but I’m strangely optimistic about this upcoming season. Don’t know about you guys, but I have a strange feeling this team is some how going to be better.

We replace them with rookies Bobby Jones and Rodney Carney, and Billy King won't use the MLE.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">How? We lost Salmons, Barnes, and Bradley. We replace them with rookies Bobby Jones and Rodney Carney, and Billy King won't use the MLE.</div> Barnes and Bradley contributed to our team? Really the only lose we suffered in my opinion was Salmons the other people were scrubs anyhow. The loose of Salmons is overrated, because with Jones and Carney now on the team we had no real need for him. My optimism comes from the fact that AI and Webber know the pressure will be on them to succeed this season, or else they are being traded. Another thing that has me excited for the start of the season is the fact we will have Willie Green for the entire season, and probably end up signing Steven Smith. I don?t know something just tells me this team is going to be a hell of a lot better next year. Remember last year we lost over a dozen games by less than three points if we learn how to close out we should be good to go.
This team may improve slightly at best, but at the end of the day we know they won't be able to compete with teams suck as Miami, San Antonio, Dallas, or Detroit. The thing that makes me mad is that King has done nothing to improve this team besides the draft process.
i believe that the younger players on philly (igoudala, korver, green, and dalembert) will all be improved over the summer and have a bigger impact next season. Especially dalembert and AI2. and who knows maybe cheeks will realize that they cant win with iverson and webber taking every shot and he will include the other players in the offense. however, without any moves in the offseason, i dont know how the sixers are gonna be anything more than last season...
Like Iverson has been saying throughout his career, he wants to be a Sixer for life, of course hes relieved.
