<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando, FL ? The Orlando Magic have re-signed restricted free agent forward Trevor Ariza, General Manager Otis Smith announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed. Ariza (6?8?, 200, 6/30/85) played in 57 games with both the Magic and New York last season, averaging 4.6 ppg., 3.8 rpg., 1.1 apg. and 1.00 stlpg. in 17.5 minpg. He was traded to Orlando by the Knicks on Feb. 22, 2006, along with the expiring contract of Anfernee Hardaway, in exchange for Steve Francis. During 21 games with Orlando, Ariza averaged 4.7 ppg. and 3.9 rpg. in 13.8 minpg. ?We are very pleased to bring Trevor back, as he is a key part of our young core,? General Manager Otis Smith said. ?His athleticism and explosiveness will be a great asset to our team on both ends of the floor.? Last season, Ariza scored in double figures seven times (four with Orlando), including a season-high 13 points twice, the last time on Apr. 19 @ Indiana, when he also ripped down a career-best 12 rebounds. More active on the defensive end, Ariza recorded at least one steal in 33 games (11 with the Magic) and two-or-more steals 17 times. ?Trevor is a young player with a bright future and we are excited to have re-signed him,? added Head Coach Brian Hill. ?He has the ability to be a shutdown-type defender and will add to the versatility of our team.? Originally selected by New York during the second round (43rd overall) of the 2002 NBA Draft, Ariza has played in 137 career NBA regular season games with New York and Orlando, averaging 5.3 ppg., 3.4 rpg. and 1.1 apg. in 17.4 minpg. Otis Smith already said that he would resign Trevor Ariza. And i believed the guy untill i heard other teams were interested... phew! what a relief hes back! haha
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">so... is he gonna start?</div> No, probably not.
Great news and I'm really impressed with what Otis has been able to do since coming to Orlando. As for Ariza starting, I doubt it. Hedo will probably start with Trevor coming off the bench with Redick.
Awesome news. Ariza should be great for our team in the future, who knows if he develops well enough he might be our starter since he'll probably be hitting his prime around the same time as our young players.
The youth we have on this team is crazy. In a couple years we are going to have a team all in their prime.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gee_Dupe11:</div><div class="quote_post">wait a minute Hedo to start at the 2?......</div> at the 3
OOOOO But <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">Great news and I'm really impressed with what Otis has been able to do since coming to Orlando. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">Grant Hill is dead to me.</div> Ouch?.... I read an article where it said his non surgical rehab is going superb and he expects to be able to play. I can post the article if you want.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gee_Dupe11:</div><div class="quote_post">OOOOO But ppl 4 got about Grant Hill.... is still alive JJ Will Start</div> JJ won't start. Bogans, Dooling or Hedo will start at the 2 more than likely.
I believe u need to start a Shooter at the 2 guard with the Magic Lineup So Dooling is out of that Option -Keith Bogans is 4real IMO so he has a chance -Hedo is tall and can Shoot but has to Back up Grant and The 2 Guard but the same time Keith can do that -IMO JJ Should start but maybe wont due to Injuries so i believe Bogans is the Top Canidate
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gee_Dupe11:</div><div class="quote_post">I believe u need to start a Shooter at the 2 guard with the Magic Lineup So Dooling is out of that Option -Keith Bogans is 4real IMO so he has a chance -Hedo is tall and can Shoot but has to Back up Grant and The 2 Guard but the same time Keith can do that -IMO JJ Should start but maybe wont due to Injuries so i believe Bogans is the Top Canidate</div> So if you start JJ at the 2, who do you start at the 3? Hedo? If you start JJ and Hedo alongside Jameer, we are absolutely screwed on defense. If you would start someone other Hedo at SF, then why would you start JJ over Hedo?

But at the same time Hedo maybe not be a good a shooter as JJ but he can Flat out Shoot the ball and hes like 6'10 right. So Hedo can bring height to the lineup still cause problems. and JJ can come from the bench and cause problems for other teams too. and Trevor brings height as well. so your right the line-up should be like this Jameer Hedo Grant Dwight Darko
