<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nets Acquire Mikki Moore East Rutherford, NJ (July 27, 2006) - The New Jersey Nets have acquired center Mikki Moore from the Seattle SuperSonics for a second round draft pick in 2009, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. ?We are pleased to add Mikki to our roster,? said Thorn. ?He is a veteran presence who will add depth to our frontcourt rotation.? The 7-0 Moore has career marks of 4.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 303 games. Last season, he appeared in 47 games for Seattle, averaging 3.3 points and 2.8 rebounds. The eight-year veteran has played for seven NBA teams (Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, New Jersey, Utah, Los Angeles Clippers and Seattle). The Nebraska product, who was undrafted out of college, appeared in four games for the Nets during the 2003-04 season, averaging less than a point per game. Source </div> Who is this guy? Has anyone seen him play? I'm not too high on Sonics ball so I wouldn't know what he brings to the table.
He plays hard every time he's on the court. He doesn't complain, just comes to practice and works hard. I guess he's a good depth guy to have in your front court. We have 3 young 7 footers so we probably don't need Mikki.
Well he's big men, thats all I can say right now. BTW wasn't he on our roster 2 seasons ago and we waived him? One thing I know is he tries he's best when he is on the court.
He had a short stint with the Nets. As far as I remember, the Nets signed him from the NDBL following the season after K-Mart was traded. He was not too bad, but after a few 10-day contracts he was signed by another team or something. All I know is that he can block shots and run the floor.
This is a nice pickup for the Nets. He'll be able to take over Josh Boone while he's out following that shoulder surgery. He should be able to provide just as much.
Haha, I love Mikki Moore, he has a decent mid-range shot, is athletic, but the best thing about him is that he loves to scream at everything, kinda like Chandler back in the day. I don't think I've seen him dunk without screaming before lol.

During a game last season, Mikki dislocated like...two fingers on his hand. It as a jump ball situation, and he just ran back to the locker room. Everyone's wondering "WTF???" where the hell is he going. So they're all about to make substitutions and you see Mikki running out of the locker room, hand all wrapped up and he's ready for the jump ball. The refs didnt let him stay in though, he had to leave due to an injury so he couldnt play anymore. Anyway...that just shows the guys heart and passion for the game. He was nice to have here in Seattle but...we've got plenty of bigs here...Mikki deserves playing time. He'll get it in Jersey.
The Nets will regret not inviting Eric Williams formerly of Wake Forest to their training camp. He's a better answer to size, power, defense and rebounding than Josh Boone. Eric outplayed Sheldon Williams of Duke his whole career at Wake and usually got the better of Scott May of UNC. The kid has a big heart and is enthusiastic for the game. I hope he catches on with another Eastern Team and is recognized as having a top ten rookie game.
