I think he can contribute because last year he scored 2.3 ppg as a Rocket and during the summer league his performance was nowhere near where he is now. Now he is averaged 15 more points than he did in last years summer league so if you do the proportions out he will average 6.3 ppg this season. That is pretty good for third string PG.
No way he'll be a difference maker. He's quick, young and can pass and defend well, but his height is a huge disadvantage. I've seen a lot of sub-6'0" scorers thrive in the league, but no playmakers of that stature.

I think Lucas will be just fine on the offensive end. Defensively, he'll struggle against some PGs. But he can still be a difference maker most nights.

I think he can help you guys as a backup, he can do a lot of things on the offensive end of the floor.
