<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bucks have verbally agreed to deal the veteran center to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Steve Blake, forward Brian Skinner and center Ha Seung-Jin, according to Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times.

The deal won't be announced until all players pass physicals and the trade is officially approved by the league offices.

The trade has been discussed for several weeks because Portland was reluctant to give up Blake, who started 57 games for them last season, his first in Portland</div>

Well I know Harris had said he had wanted depth out of trading Magloire. He did just that, getting a solid backup 4 and 1. Blake can shoot and is feisty, I think he'll do well behind Williams. Skinner brings toughness, rebounding and defense, which you can never have too much of.

I think this is stupid for Milwaukee, they just grab some scrubs, while Portland pick up a former All Star.

All 3 will be like 3rd - 4th string players.

Did Magloire suck last year without me noticing or something? This trade seems awfully bad for the Bucks, whether they needed a point guard or not.

Wouldn't like the trade if I were a Bucks fan. Maglorie put up a solid 10 points 10 boards for the Bucks last season and to get three sub-par players for him is just bad. They could have got more out of a team...

Calderon+Eric Williams+Sow for Magloire would of been a better deal. Ok maybe not, I really like Brian Skinner and Blake is solid. They could of done better than that tough. But what do we know? I guess its a bit of addition by subtraction, as they add depth at PG, with Skinner being able to play a lesser role to Bogut, CV and Smith.

Not the best deal for Portland either -- considering they just signed to a multiyear deal Pryzbilla and drafted LaMarcus Aldridge. Not to mention that their point guard spot is being manned by Jarrett Jack, Sergio Rodriguez, and possibly Brandon Roy.

Seems like the Blazers now have frontcourt depth at the expense of not having point guard (or reliable shooting guard) depth. Well there is a reason why John Nash name never comes up for Executive of the Year Awards.

As far as Milwaukee, they addressed a need in getting point guard depth but other than that I feel as if this trade was done in order to free up space to for next year's free agency class. That would have happened regardless had they kept Magloire but I guess they wanted to give Bogut more of an opportunity to develop out of his shadow. They probably could have gotten a much more polished guard for Magloire other than Blake but Larry Harris is another GM that I don't expect will be getting Executive of the Year consideration as well.

This trade really doesn't make sense for either team.

For Portland though Magloire only has a one year contract, so the acquisition won't affect LaMarcus and Przybilla much outside of this coming season. Also with Magloire being in the last year of his contract, he's very nice trade bait if they want to maybe package him with Miles or something.

It doesn't seem like the best of trades, but I know that Blake puts up solid numbers when he starts and is a very quick, light weight pure point guard that can play defense, pass, and shoot.

Ha Seung Jin is a project that seems interesting.

Brian Skinner is a nice role player.
