I'm calling it now. T.D will make a serious push for the M.V.P award this year. I think his reponse to a hobbled year will produce a M.V.P type season. His foot healed as the year went on and I can only hope he is in the gym right now working on his game. Everybody in the media is counting the spurs out (Joke!). I think Tim has atleast 4 to 5 good years left. His game doesn't rely on his athletism, which will extend his career further than the average. Does anybody know what tim is up to this summer?
No i'm not on drugs but being that your a Dallas fan i can see why your hating. San Antonio 3 Dallas 0 Tim Duncan 2 Dirk 0
I don't have any strong feelings on Duncan as far as being a fan so I consider myself a pretty fair observer. While I appreciate his skills more than most, I can't see Duncan as MVP this year. There are far too many young players growing by leaps and bounds to be beat out by a peaked Duncan. That's not to say that he's not a great player, just that he's not getting any better, while his competitors are.
Duncan is a former MVP. He wasn't healthy last season, because of his foot. He still had a pretty good year, enough to be an all-star. And if his foot is healed, and he's healthy he will automatically be a contender for most valuable player. Not certainly going to win, but could.
I dont really think anyone can say who will win MVP, But I dont think Duncan will get MVP becuase wheter he plays bad or good the spur will still get a good season record.
He has a chance just I dont see him having to do as much with the team he has. Now lebron, kobe or AI have a better shot since they have to do basically everything for there team.
I know if duncan puts up numbers like he did in the playoffs he will be a contender for the MVP, and hopefully with the new centers we will take the title.
If Duncan puts up the numbers he put up in the playoffs and San Antonio get's a #1 seed, I see no reason why he can't be a contender for MVP.
If healthy he is definitely a contender for MVP, but with the crop of young players stepping it up it will take a monster season for him to win it.
Duncan won't win another MVP unless he has a monster MONSTER season (that means he will have to stay healthy consistently) and his team has the best record in the league.
Duncan is a pretty solid player and has that leadership. He can do it if he stays healthy and keep putting up big numbers throughout the season.
