    4. Kwame- I think he may be #3, when he plays well, this team looks very good. He's our only real low-post defender, and from what he did last year against Duncan and Shaq, he's becoming a damn good one. Also, when he's confident and contributing on offense, very few teams seem to beat us. we just need him to become consistent.

Shucks, I was sure that Von Wafer would be #1, followed closely by Aaron McKie.

Both of these are a joke. Bynum, although I'm a supporter, hasn't proved anything. Same goes for Vlad.

Number 3 is Kwame. Easily. He brings us post defense that we need because Lamar doesn't bring it. He brings us a 7'0 who's one of the strongest athletes in the league. He brings us the ability to get 12 points a game when playing good basketball.

    1 - Kobe
    2 - Lamar
    3 - Kwame
    4 - Vlad

Def. agree of the Kwame thing, he's gonna be really important next season.

As for #5, I guess it'd be Smush. He has some competition for his job finally so he'll have to play with everything to lose and get pushed throughout the season. I really hope he continues to develop and run the offense smoother.

    6 - Luke Walton.

When he's in the game, he is often a momentum stabilizer or shifter.

well value, i meant in terms of trade value, and i think andrew bynum is definitely one of our most valued players in the trading market.

and yes, i wasn't really sure whether to go with radman or kwame as far as importance goes, but i feel like radman to walton is a significant dropoff, whereas chris mihm has proven that he can produce consistently. sorry if it seemed like such a big joke to you, but it makes sense to me

No need to be a jerk about it yo.

    1). Kobe
    2). Odom
    3). Kwame
    4). Vladimir
    5). Smush
    6). Luke Walton

    Now number...
7). This is a hard one....Maybe Chris Mihm or Maurice Evans imo. Both I think will be solid bench producers in the coming season if Mihm doesn't take his starting role back. I might have put Farmar or Bynum as these guys are supposedly our future guys.....But like I said this is a hard one. [IMG]

As far as impact, I'll go with Mihm at 7. When he's healthy, he's very consistent. Plus, if he comes back and contributes, then his trade value will go back up, which makes him a valuable asset for us in a trade package with McKie's expiring contract and possibly Cook.

I agree that Evans could be #8- I think his D will be good for our second unit, plus he gives Kobe a break so he can be rested for the ends of games.

However, once you get this low, it gets more difficult, because it depends on which road you go down. If you're talking about impact RIGHT NOW then those are my two, but, like Franchise4Ever said Farmar and Bynum could be great players down the line. If I judged by that, then it would be Farmar-7, Bynum-8

The thing about Mihm is, in his first year, he was worse than a middle-schooler in the NBA on the road, and in his second year, he suffered a major injury that could effect his career. Where as, Luke Walton has always been a stabilizer under Phil Jackson. Luke is also a quiet leader. He doesn't lead my his scoring or his voice, but by how he comes in and plays with a calm and cool effectiveness.

Number 8, I'd go with: Ronnie Turiaf. He is an instant spark plug. With Devean George leaving, I have to give this spot to Ronnie.

I f healthy I'll agree with you on #8 with Ronnie Turiaf but a strong case can be made for sasha at this spot he's very versatile and I can see him playing the 1 the 2 and maybe even some 3 if he improves his shot this upcoming season... alright who's got a nomination for #9?

    1. Kobe - let not forget he single-handily brought us into the playoff by himself!
    2. Odom - domb basketball IQ but he's our most consistent rebounder.
    3. Kwame - our best low post defender, enough say.
    4. Vlad - our best outside shooter. Extremely deadly from the 3 ball.
    5. Mihm - our most consistent Center and most likely our best backup center. Forget Bynum for a second, he's not ready and won't contribute anything big next season so skip him 2nd to last.
    6. Luke - phil's favorite guy, enough say.
    7. Farmar - a future PG and has the potential to steal Smush starting spot after ASG.
    8. Smush - currently he's our hope at PG, especially early in the season.
    9. Ronny - our best cheerleader lol, enough say [IMG]
    10. Mo Evan - our best back-up to kobe. A guy who can bring scoring and defense off the bench in a flash.
    11. Bynum - done nothing for the lakers other than having the word 'potential' on his jersey
    12. Sasha - our best cat lol. other than that, he's useless lol

    1). Kobe Bryant
    2). Lamar Odom
    3). Chris Mihm
    4). Luke Walton
    5). Smush Parker
    6). Kwame Brown
    7). Brian Cook

The rest don't get steady minutes so it's hard to rate them. If we were to add the new players, I would put Farmar at the third position(assuming he gets minutes) and Radman at five.

I don't think Luke Walton is more important than Kwame.

    Luke
    Kwame
    Mihm
    Turiaf,
Radmo- hasn't played w/ lakers yet so we don't know how he'll play.
I think people underestimate Luke Walton alot as well, he's made some smart plays like in game 4.

Underestimate? He's a good passer and a nice spark, but he has quite a few flaws. He also seems to get very nervous in clutch time. Like when Kobe passed him the ball to go for the winning shot but passed it back to Kobe when time expired. Also, the game against Cleveland (the 'Kobe got screwed by the refs' game as I like to call it) when he forced the pass to Kobe when he still had a timeout. Not to mention he isn't that good of a defender and can't shoot.
