<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Underestimate? He's a good passer and a nice spark, but he has quite a few flaws. He also seems to get very nervous in clutch time. Like when Kobe passed him the ball to go for the winning shot but passed it back to Kobe when time expired. Also, the game against Cleveland (the 'Kobe got screwed by the refs' game as I like to call it) when he forced the pass to Kobe when he still had a timeout. Not to mention he isn't that good of a defender and can't shoot.</div> Walton has improved a lot last season. He is more aggressive and he is attacking on offense. The guy has developed a go to offensive move in the fade away. He is also one of our smartest players. He understands the triangle, and isn't afraid to get teamates involved with his playmaking and passing skills.
1. Kobe Bryant 2. Lamar Odom 3. Kwame Brown 4. Chris Mihm-- highly underrated, I think he will definetly help us win more games. We might have even won the Phx series if he had been present. 5. Vlad 6. Farmer (cause I think he'll be better then Smush, even in his rookie season) 7. Walton 8. Smush 9. Brian Cook 10. Ronny Turiaf 11. Andrew Bynum-- cause he doesn't contribute half as much as the other guys, so therefore he's last.

1.Kobe 2.Kwame 3.Odom 4. Vlad I think Kwame will be more important this season for our success therfore Im ranking him ahead of Odom. Odom needs to be consistent too, but Kwame is our only real force up front until Mihm heals up. Kwame plays tough this season like he did in the playoffs, I can guarantee a 50+ season for our Lakers this year.
remember, kwame was posting up on the suns puny frontline. when he faces real centers a la yao ming, brad miller, chris kaman etc., he won't come close to having the size advantage or the numbers he reached against the suns. unless somehow he's learned another move other than his baby hook. i swear, he has the most limited offensive arsenal i've ever seen. he's a good low post defender and rebounder though, i give him that.
There aren't too many real/great centers in the league anyway, Kwame will still be helpful although I would rank Odom ahead of him.

The month that we didn't face Pheonix? Kwame still produced the numbers. He's a 12 and 8 center, compared to a 6 and 7 PF. He's 7'0, a solid mass of muscle. He can hold his ground offensively against any center in this league. And strength wise? I'd give it to Kwame as a top 3 power Center, with only Wallace and possibly Shaq ahead of him. Although, two years back, Shaq couldn't back Kwame down to save his life. Kwame was backing Shaq out of the paint, defending him. It was a beautiful site.

kobe-best player and captain lamar odom 2nd captain kwame brown best low post defender radman may become the 2nd scoring option Chris Mihm good allround center smush good offensive player luke walton has the best basketball iq in the team brian cook can score alot of points sometimes ronny turiaf good to have in the bench and a good defender maurice evans heard good things about him jordan farmar may become our starting PG in the future sasha can become a good 3pt shooter andrew bynum may become the starting center in 8 years aaron mckie veteran shammond william never heard of him

We need Kwame's post presence, we need his post defense. We need that big body to contain the big's in the league. Can Lamar do it? If their name isn't Shawn Marion, Lamar doesn't really stand a chance. Offensively, Lamar is more valuable than Kwame to the team, but defensively Kwame is more valuable. Our team has plenty of offense in Kobe and Radman. Lamar just needs to give us a solid 15 PPG EVERY night, not once every 3 games. If Lamar can stay consistent on offense, I think he'll prove that he's much more valuable than Kwame, factoring in his rebounding and his passing. But until he does that, I think they're about even. Kwame's post defense is underrated and underappreciated by many people and a lot of Laker fans. He brings defense to the table that nobody on our team can bring to the post, and that only one other player brings to the game, Kobe Bryant. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gee_Dupe11:</div><div class="quote_post">Shammond Williams.... is that the one that was on the UNC team (Vince,Antawn)</div> Yes, he was the second leading scorer on that team, behind Antawn I believe.
he seemed to be a good college player but i dunno what happened to him besides not being able to stay with one team

Kwame is nothing of an offensive beast by far and I think Shaq can back Kwame out of the building if he actually tried or wanted too. Also I can name 5 other center better than him in terms of offense. Don't get me wrong at all, he has an offensive game to him but you are overrating it a bit I think Shaq Yao Brad Miller Dwight hell even Chris Mihm. In terms of defense though you are correct. His is an outstanding and underrated defender. You are also underrating Lamar's defense. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting heuvonkiller:</div><div class="quote_post">I hope that new NBA ball helps him with his grip.</div> I think we all do Since everyone is giving their own list of top players I will too. 1). Shammond Willaims I don't know why in the world everyone is rating Vladimir, and Jordan so high. This again goes back to Andrew Bynum. They haven't done squat for the team yet. To be safe I'm not expecting much of them.

But seriously though, I'm pretty sure Vlade will have a big impact for the Lakers. The reason why I put Glenn Robinson on that list was mainly because he sat out for the whole 04-05 season, and not the way he played.
