The 82-game schedule consists of 41 home dates, all in the AmericanAirlines Arena, and 41 road contests, and runs from October 31, 2006 through April 18, 2007. For the second consecutive year the HEAT will make the league maximum 33 national television appearances. Miami will appear five times on ABC, 10 times on ESPN and nine times apiece on TNT and NBA TV.

Miami kicks off its 19th season when it hosts the Chicago Bulls at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31, in a nationally televised game on TNT. The game will feature a ceremony in which the team receives their championship rings and raises the 2006 NBA Championship banner to the rafters of AmericanAirlines Arena. The HEAT opens its road slate when they travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 5. The HEAT will play 16 back-to-back games during the 2006-07 campaign.

The schedule features several exciting match-ups, including the Los Angeles Lakers’ visit to Miami on Christmas Day. The 2:30 PM (Eastern Time) contest, which marks the fourth time and third consecutive year the HEAT has played on Christmas Day, is the first game of ABC’s NBA coverage. The HEAT will travel to Los Angeles to play Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Monday, January 15 in a 10:00 PM game on TNT.
