Man I have been waiting so long for this. Its finally out. Link: http://www.nba.com/rockets/schedule/
Wow, not a lot of national televised games compared to the last 2 years. I'm hoping to watch Yao Ming play in DC.
First month isn't bad at all, maybe it'll help the team work out the system and help Battier get acquainted with Rockets basketball. I see us going probably 10-5 in November. However, the next month gets much harder, and I see us potentially having problems with a grueling five game road trip beginning with back to back games against the Warriors and Lakers. Still, I see the worst month being January. Looks like I won't be able to watch many games this season...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Umair15:</div><div class="quote_post">Why do the rockets schedule have so many blanks? Are those blanks for FSN Southwest? or what?</div> There might still be some kinks as to what local stations would carry what games. At least we won't close out the season on too tough a schedule. If we're out of a playoff spot in April, we might have to chance to still make a push for it with the games we have in April.
I like the look of our schedule, I mean it could be a lot worst...it seems as if the the "hard" games are spread out pretty evenly and not bunched up with one another.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">If we're out of a playoff spot in April, we might have to chance to still make a push for it with the games we have in April.</div> Let's knock on wood immediately. The last thing I want is for us to be fighting for a playoff spot in April. Let's pray for complete health for Yao and Tracy so come April we will defintely be in the playoffs and not fighting to get in.
Sup, I'm a new member at JBB and I'm a big rockets fan. This season schedule looks a lot better than last years =P and I hope the rockets return to a level of elite that they reached in mcgradys first year. I think we have a solid mixture of players, but what really made our team that year to make it possible to challenge the mavs, were 3-point shooting and chemistry. We lost 3-point specialists in Pagett, Jon Barry, Sura (unless he returns), and Mike james. We got replacements in Novak, Head, Battier, Rafer, and Snyder. We got younger, I guess more athletic and If the chemistry is good, I think we can be looking at a 50+ win team, maybe challenging for the WCF.
