This is most definitely not something I expected to see. I figured with the resigning of Nene long term and wrapping up a lot of money in him at the same time, along with the fact that Martin and Karl haven't seen eye to eye too often since his arrival, that because of that, Martin was gone. Looks like I was wrong.
I think that if they found a deal that was worth it then they would deal Martin. Apperently they can't find a deal they like and don't want any of the players from the Knicks, so they will keep him instead. Martin knee and contract make him very hard to trade and I'm sure they rather take a chance with him than some other players from Knicks or elsewhere. They might also believe that by season start, the whole thing between Karl and Martin might boil over.
I`m suprised. From everything to his injuries, inconsistency, the feud with Karl, I was expecting him to get traded at any time, but I guess because of those reasons thats what made him such a turnoff to other teams. We`ll just see what happens this season.
