Shootgun Funny Jump Shot, but he can jump with the best of them,was Clutch in playoff situations and was starting for them at Bonzi Adsenses. but he was bit of a turnover prone Franciso Garcia Franciso Garcia is a Fine offensive player....got a nice handle,he saw some time at the point last year. good Shooter as well but improving defender though
id start garcia because he is a better defender then bring martin off the bench so you have a spart and a scoring option
Martin. He just tore it up last year until the Artest trade, and even when Bonzi went down, he turned it up a notch again. It's his job to lose the way I see it.
Didn't think there was a need for this thread as Martin will definetly be the starter. Last year was a breakout year. Garcia has shown flashes that he can be a good shooter and playmaker and defender. Right now his on ball D isn't as good as Martins because he doesn't have the foot speed or athleticism that Martin has. Garcia can be good off the bench, but there is no way he will start ahead of Martin at the start of the season. Maybe if Kevin starts playing bad Garcia may get the nod, we just don't know because we haven't seen coach Muss coach this team yet. But there is no doubt that Martin is the better talent (altogether he is, but all-round Garcia can do a little of everything) and scorer and will start for us.
I'd go Martin. He's already got expirence starting and he's done a very fine job when he's got the chance. He's improved from last season so it'll be interesting to see how he does.
Garcia is a fine defender. I remember when he got like to blocks in a row on 1 guy by just staying infront of his man. Thats true defense. Though I remember Martin tearing it up with his threes and funny shot. All in all I would take Martin to be starter and have Garcia come off the bench.
Garcia has good potential to be a very versatile player, but he hasn't played that well last season. Unless Garcia somehow becomes a lot better over the summer I'd say Martin should be still ahead of Gracia in the depth chart.
you have to start martin, more experience (granted not a lot more, but it is what it is). Really from what I have seen watching them play, there really isnt much difference talent-wise right now (yeah, Martin is better but only ever so slightly) so experience and being able to not make critical mistakes is where you would have to look to decide this one.
