<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The second game of our 2006-07 schedule, on Nov. 3, my new team -- the Bucks -- play against my former team, the Raptors, in the Air Canada Centre. I think it is going to be weird for me, at least in the first quarter, but once I get into the game I think that I will feel fine. I am not worried about having to defend Chris Bosh because it was something I always did during practice last season. Between Chris and I, it will be a battle. I know what he does best, and he knows what I do best -- so throughout the game it will be: Let the best man win.</div> Full Story
No. Charlie Villanueva wouldn't get any time with Bargnani and all of the other big men that have recently joined the Raptors. I know everyone is always going "buh Charlie iz liek so gud n stuf!" Well, last time I checked, the Raptors needed a point guard desperately and had a logjam at the PF position. I don't even want to mention that "Charlie V playing the 3" rubbish either. He's a pure 4 at the moment, and unless he develops better quickness or strength then I don't see him playing any other position than the 4.

Some of the moves we made to acquire the bigs we did wouldn't have happened if we still had Charlie. Plus, even if we had Charlie instead of Ford right now, he'd get more playing time than last year. I do agree with your point on him not being 3. It's best for him to play his natural posistion. Although he sucks defenisvely either way, he'll get less exposed on the defensive end guarding the 4 rather than the quicker athletic 3's. He has the potential to be decent and maybe something better at the 4 in Milwaukee.

There was a place here for Charlie but i think BC got too involved with making the roster "his own". True we did need a PG...but we could of possibly done that with a trade down in the draft for a Marvin Williams. Or why not trade the #1 pick straight up for Ford? Whether AB will be better than Charlie, i dunno.....but there were other ways to get a PG and AB fits no better with the team than Charlie did.
F, man reading that little quote has me missing CV31 aswell. damn he is going to stud out this year in for the bucks. Also, I think one aspect of Cv31 game that was underated was his passing, especially on the fastbreak. IMO him and Charels Oakley are the two best passing big men that the raptors have ever had.
We traded a future all star with the potential of becoming even more talented then CB4...what do you expect ....we all miss him.
Lets let the season play out, and then we will know whos a better player Charlie or Bargnani, and then we can make a better judment on the trade for Ford.

I have medium expectations for Andrea, wherin I don't expect him to be rookie of the year, I expect him to do bad at times, but in the end, I see him having a Bogut like season. His development begins NEXT year...and why are Charlie and Andrea being compared when the trade was for Ford. I'm actually surprised, and I have been reading around a bunch of different sites and people actually believe the Raptors will be the surprise team this season with all thier changes. So if others believe in us, why shouldn't we believe in ourselves even more? Let's go Raptors and here's to hoping Bosh makes that "leap" to superstar.

But, i'm not saying TJ is not a good suit to our team because he is. Andrea is ROTY material, i think he'll win it for us next year.
I see Charlie's potential, but I always have a feeling that he'll never fully realize it. I hope I'm wrong though.
