<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In Barry's mirror. Chris Mullin is quickly learning his players aren't as marketable as he thinks. But the Warriors do have one "chip" almost every team in the league would love to take off their hands — next year's No.1 draft pick. You see, 2007 is the year of the Greg Oden sweepstakes. At this point, the Warriors hold what could be the winning ticket. If Mullin were to dangle his prize possession, I believe he could land the type of player who could make the Warriors a playoff team next season. And in turn, the draft pick wouldn't have nearly as much value. So you've got to make the playoffs if you trade the pick, and I've got just the deal to do it: Troy Murphy, Mickael Pietrus and the No.1 to the Nets for Richard Jefferson. I know the Nets aren't anxious to break up the Jason Kidd-Vince Carter-Jefferson trio. But Pietrus gives them someone to run with Kidd, and Murphy (a New Jersey native) adds double-double potential to a weak frontcourt. And then there's the prospect of landing Oden. Ah, dreams. </div> Source I don't know how I stumbled upon this. I have to admit though, this is just a big dream.
This is just a scenario the writer made up as an example of what the Warriors could get if they gave up their 1st round pick. It has no legs to it but I have heard some rumors about the Warriors trying to get Jefferson and I think this trade would be pretty even, though I doubt NJ fans would do it.
i dont no if i like this every warriors fan complains about murphy..............i no its just an example but if it were true
