<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Summer is in full swing but the NBA season is just around the corner. Every summer I say that I just want to take some time off for vacation, but I never seem to get around to it. To me vacation is this odd thing that I?ve never gotten used to. Every summer of my life I?ve always been playing. So if I take a couple days off and just go somewhere, I feel odd and kind of guilty, almost like, ?What am I doing?? Even if I am in the gym at home working out ? maybe not as hard as I can, but working out ? I feel like there is so much more to do before I go on vacation. I had a pretty good year last year, but with my shooting touch and my ability to shoot the ball, I should definitely be shooting at least 45 percent from the floor. But I think playing the two spot at my height, I?m forced to take a lot of tough shots. I have to do a better job this year of getting to the free-throw line so I can cut down on those low percentage shots. Sometimes I try to avoid a guy altering my shot and I end up taking a difficult shot instead of maybe creating contact and getting to the free-throw line. </div> http://www.nba.com/features/gordon_blog.html
great read Ben just speaking his mind and feeling on the next season. to me these are the best articles. Go Bulls!!!
Haha, it's funny because I was recently talking about how when I see Gordon he's always trying to drive around defenders instead of at them, and with his athletic ability he should be getting to the line like Arenas and Wade do (okay not 10 times a game, but at least 6-, and with the minutes he played last season about 5 times a game.
It would be great to see him get to the line a few more times as well as shoot a better percentage from the field.
thank God he realized that he was taking stupid shots when he could be getting to the line instead. that made me so mad when our guys did that (Hinrich or Gordon especially). to be honest I think it's a coaching error that leads to us not getting to the line more often.
Ben Gordon is a workhorse I think is blue-collar attitude is the reason why so many people love this kid. I am the same way he is I just feel like I’m cheating myself and my teammates when I’m not working to get better. Hopefully, he comes in this season and continues to develop into an eventual all star. If he comes in next season and averages over 20 points a game, with the team’s success, I believe he can be an all star.
