He started for the Puerto Rican national team that upset the United States during the 2004 Olympics. </div> Source
Why am I the only one that has seen his possible upside. I've seen him play at the international level and he has been able to score in the post. From what I've seen, he is a step above Kandi who can't even dunk. Santiago has good post footwork and should be able to pound the ball in the post which is something we haven't had since.........Gary Trent. If he's cheap, I'm for it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NBA MAN:</div><div class="quote_post">Who cares about him</div> If you're rooting for the team, you kinda wanna know who's on the roster.
we'll he's better than getting pavel...he has more experience than pavel...but first get a big that can be a starting center for us...
Let me give you guys a sad fact....... from what we've seen of Santiago...he's been better than every Center we've had since Dean Garrett (just because I liked him). Kandi showed flashes...but it wasn't that he was doing well, but the other teams just didn't really care to defend him. I can't remember a highly contested game where he was at least serviceable. Some blame goes on perimeter defense cause he had to pick up fouls when the offense was driving into his face. But still, just think back. Santiago should be a good back up and should be time because he can bang unlike everyone else on the roster.
