nice... sounds like the O-Line played pretty well. I'm glad walker is out for now because i'd rather see trueblood playing with the 1st team. hopefully he can win the starting RT spot before the season starts... how did clayton look swish?
He really didn't play much since he was part of the first unit. He only caught one or two passes. The guy that really impressed me was Maurice Stovall.

He told me that I should be loving that guy because of his freakish talents. What stood out about him? was he making ridiculous catches?
I GET TO WATCH THE GAME ON SATURDAY!! they are finally gonna televise a TB game over here on the west. i can't wait to watch the bucs jaguars game.
Michael Clayton is booty. Galloway is good even though he's old and Cadillac is just amazing. Chris Simms did good replacing Griese. The defense was #1 and should be top 5 this year. Now as far as the Eagles. The Eagles don't have the best offensive line in football. It's either the Ravens, Broncos, or Chiefs. Darren Howard was a backup in New Orleans. Okay a backup. Brian Westbrook doesn't get any carries for you guys. Donovan McNabb only has Reggie Brown and Dante Stallworth. That isn't that good. Stallworth had like 200000000 dropped passes. Your secondary is good so I can't say anything. Jeremiah Trotter is also very good. The Defense is good just the offense might not do so well.

Will Smith was the backup that got a bunch of playing time that made Howard easier to trade. Howard is one of the better DE's in the league, IMO. Never count out McNabb as shown today he can do a lot of good with just decent targets. It's the opposite of the common perspective. McNabb doesn't need superstar WR's to contend, while TO does need a very good QB to contend. I'm not saying they will win the division, but they are a very good team.

Donte Stallworth isn't that good to begin with. You guys received two castaways from the Saints. Darren Howard shared a lot of minutes with Will Smith. Darren was basically the backup. McNabb is a good QB but he played against the Texans with no defense whatsoever. TO doesn't need a superstar QB because he did fine with Bledsoe getting about 80 something yards and a TD. They are a good team and in 2 years will be able to make the playoffs.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CLos:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't understand how they got killed to Baltimore.</div> here are the reasons: 1. Baltimore's defense is the best in the league 2. Our offensive line is the worst in the league 3. Gruden's game plans suck... we need a real OC 4. Our offensive line sucks. edit: Muir has has i think 4 or 5 years to mold a somewhat start worthy offensively line, but he hasn't done that. he needs to be fired.

I like the Bucs defense better than the Ravens still. They basically gave up 1 long TD drive and 1 FG drive and the rest were because of turnovers. The Ravens offense is much better than the Bucs as of now. Now don't get me wrong, Ravens D is really good when healthy, but I just don't think they are the best. I think it had more to do with the horrid play of the Bucs offense then the Ravens D being amazing. I am amazed at how a 6'5 QB can get so many of his passes batted down at the line. How do you let that happen? They really need to bust out some ladders or something in practice. Also what has happened to Micheal Clayton, he really looked bad out there. He needs to pull his head out of his butt to prove that his rookie season wasn't a fluke.

Obviously i was just stating my opinion about the Ravens D. The Tampa 2 has been such a huge reason why Tampa's D has been so good for so long. I LOVE Tampa's D... Let me say that first. But i really dont think they are the best defense in the league anymore. Brooks looks like he has finally slowed down a bit, simeon has done much for a couple seasons, and b kel and ronde and getting up there in age. They are a bend but dont break defense. They are still good enough to win a championship if the offense can finally get rid of its flu. The only reason I say that the Ravens have the best defense is because of the playmakes they have on the defensive end. Terrell Suggs (DE/LB) - one of the most versatile big men on the front line. He can pass rush, stuff the run, and he even has short coverage skills. Ngata (DT) - The first DT taken in the draft and he's a good one. Very stout. The only hole in the defense before the draft was this position, but it's been addressed. Trevor Pryce (DE) - Had an OUTSTANDING career with the Broncos and he will bring that and more to Baltimore. Denver didn't have LBs, which put more pressure on Pryce, but he will not have that problem in Baltimore. Ray Lewis (LB) - Best LB in the league. (Previously the Defensive MVP) Ed Reed (SS) - Best SS in the league. (Previously the Defensive MVP) Chris McAlister (CB) and Samari Rolle (CB) - McAlister doesn't need a write up and Rolle is as good of a number 2 corner you could ask for. For almost any other team he would be a #1 CB. Other considerations for the best Defense would go to Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Tampa Bay. Chicago had a very easy schedule last year. They had an outstanding year and I'm not arguing that they aren't great, but 6 games were against division foes (The weakest division in the NFL) and their schedule favored them. If I'm not mistaken their schedule is pretty easy this year too. Until they can prove that they are good enough to shut down the better offenses, I can't consider them a #1 Defense. IMO Pittsburgh is the closest to the best, but Lewis and Reed and better than Palomalu and Porter. So Ravens have the edge. Tampa has the smartest defense and the most experienced. If we are talking about the best defense last year... Tampa... If we are talking about the last 5 years... Tampa... last 10 years? you got it... Tampa... I believe they are great, but not the best for 2006-2007
those are all big names...but it also has a lot to do with the system u play in...just putting my 2 cents in
Ray Lewis is getting older as well. Derrick Brooks=Ray Lewis Ronde Barber=Chris McAllister W.Allen<Ed Reed The Ravens have had injury problems for a while. I really like their team though. Trevor Pryce has been great. Samari Rolle is really good. Suggs is an explosive player with much versatility. Now if you wanna talk names, I think that the Jaguars have some pretty good names as well. DT-Jon Henderson & Marcus Stroud DE-Reggie Hayward(he's out for the season) MLB-Mike Peterson CBs-Rashean Mathis & Brian Williams(already called shut down corners) SS-Donovin Darius The Pittsburgh Steelers have a great system. The main guys are obviously Polomalu and Joey Porter but their team as a whole is impressive. Another team to not overlook is definitely Chicago with Brian Urlacher as the anchor of that great defense. The Buccaneers are getting more older each year and don't have good replacements for key players like Derrick Brooks and Simeon Rice.
Nobody has sold me on any other defenses.... Jax is a great defense and i forgot to mention them, BUT everyone is forgetting that ray lewis is better than any other linebacker mentioned above. we will obviously find out at the end of the year which defense holds up the best...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CLos:</div><div class="quote_post"> Derrick Brooks=Ray Lewis Ronde Barber=Chris McAllister W.Allen<Ed Reed </div> Derrick Brooks (ROLB not an ILB... if anything compare him to shelton quarles, with better coverage skills than any other LB, and also a hard hitter, but does not get the same amount of production as ray lewis) Ronde Barber (Best tackling CB in the league with mediocre speed and agility... McAllister gets the edge here and you will get that from anyone that knows anything about football) why even talk about will allen in the same breath as reed? Besides... allen is a FS not a SS... if anything mention Jermaine Phillips... he is the better safety for Tampa anyhow... Dont get me wrong... i know the bucs are good, but im just talking from a non-fan point of view. i suggest you guys dont make statements unless you can back them up or at least get the facts straight. I could back all this stuff up with stats too if i wanted to, but i'm too lazy to try to get my point accross to people that wouldn't understand anyways...
It doesn't matter if the Ravens have better players name wise, it matters how they play as one unit. That's why the Bucs were the #1 defense last year. It doesn't matter that the Ravens were injured. Brian Urlacher is a better MLB than Ray Lewis. Don't even say anything about that. The Jags have one of the most underrated defenses in the league. Ray Lewis is getting more old and more injury-proned. Mike Peterson is a solid MLB that is getting better and has better coverage skills.
