The minute Grossman took over the bears offense took 5 steps forward, they moved ball consistently, they were a passing threat.

Thomas davis, still not starting, still doesnt have position in nfl. He is LB who is bad vs run, and a S who is bad vs pass.

Wow I didn't know Rex Grossman's 47.1 QB rating makes him a great QB with a great arm. Lets be real he was bailed out by that fumble with a little luck....

Grossman is in his 3rd year. Davis is a rookie. Lets wait and see on Davis is all I'm saying.. Also lets wait a couple more games until Grossman is this so called savior because he played horrible last night and that seemed to be forgotten because they won.. Anyone would of won as the Bears QB against the Falcons last night...

Javon Walker didn't start for his first 2 years in the NFL and he finally broke out a year ago. How come Davis can't do that either??? Samething really. Davis gets to play and make his tackles as a rookie and Walker got to make his catches as a rookie...

Wait a little before you proclaim someone a Bust or otherwise I think Cedrick Benson deserves a little spotlight along with Davis maybe..

Im gonna laugh when Thomas Davis makes it to the pro bowl as the one special teamer that goes. Because on special teams he is dominating.

Cedric Benson isnt starting? So would u call him a bust?

Actually Grossman played great. He had one bad pass, that got picked, but . . .
Now he will get the reps in practice.

1st rd pick becoming special teams star = bust.

Benson is on bench cuz of entrenched starter, holdout, and injury combined. Davis was handed starting spot, lost it to journeyman safety, who isnt any good. Not same situations.

47.1 rating is great... Like I said in my previous post Grossman made a costly mistake and got lucky with that fumble... Lets see how he finishes out the season before he's proclaimed a great QB. I didn't know a great arm = a 47.1 QB Rating...

Sounds kind of biased to me but hey it's your opinion and you've seen Grossman in the NFL more than me so I'll let it slide thinking that you know something I don't.. [IMG]

    That's a first ehh [IMG]

What I won't let slide is that you seen Davis play maybe one time at best in the NFL and he's already a proclaim Bust. The NFL takes time to learn. Some players catch on quick others it takes time... There's no proof that Davis will be a BUST but there's no proof that he won't be great either..

Rating was only bad because of fact he only attempted 16 passes and played one half. If you watched you know, the whole complexion of game changed when he stepped in. It went from 6-3 struggle. To bears moved ball consistently on several drives and defense got to rest and sideline in between possesions. I will say it now. They are super bowl threat now.

Thomas Davis is make the pro bowl before grossman does.

And Marlon McCree is turning into a real great suprise. He is doing really good playing the run and the pass. He makes huge hits every week. He almost took off the TE Hiltons head last game.

Oh don't get me wrong they'll at least probably go 11-5 and win the divsion but I'm not picking them to beat either GB in GB or Minny in Minny...

If they win the Super Bowl then you have something to throwback at us otherwise your just tied with 31 other teams for last.. [IMG]

I watched the whole game....I wasnt rooting for either team....I saw a defensive matchup in which neither QB demonstrated the capacity to move the ball in the air....then Grossman came in....his 1st throw alone, was better than any throw Ive seen from Orton or Vick in thier careers....I wont predict who will or wont make the pro bowl, its a popularity contest anyway, I will say though, that Grossman has a live arm....he can make throws....I think he needs to be given a 10 game stretch to see if he can be a great QB, but certainly the tools are there....the team was energized by his precense and that tells me that in practice, they have seen him do some good things....btw, if Thomas Davis makes the pro bowl 15 times as a special teamer after being a 1st round pick, thats a bust....1st round picks should be off special teams by thier 3rd year because by that time, they should have deemed themselvves to valuable to risk....BF1's points about his skill set not lending itself to the defense(too slow to play safety, too soft to play LB) seem to have validity and the league is full of those guys, all of which play on special teams exclusively....if you drafted Larry izzo or Larry Wigham with the 15th pick of the draft, how happy are you with those careers?

Thomas Davis did a great job in shuting down Vick, and thats what John Fox brought him in to do. Thomas Davis will start somewhere next year.

I'm picking them to lose out but I'm not going to bet on the Packers beating them. Especially after last night. Favre is playing horrible and the Bears Defense is just to much alone for the Pack. Grossman is a tad better than Orton and is probably good for a couple more points.. GB just isn't good this year. We're on rebuilding mode right now. I do think the Vikings will beat them though.

Last night's game was awful, but the Packers will look a lot better against the Bears. Whenever the Packers play the Bears or the Vikings, they get extra psyched. Plus, they're going to want to put that Monday Night Football debacle behind them.

Smart money is on the Bears to win the game, but I'll bet it's a good contest. They aren't just going to roll over and play dead.

So they are going to change it up a little? Thats good for them, because the current strategy(rolling over, playing dead) didnt work Monday....

Im gonna be rooting for the packers to win because tht helps the panthers get a better playoff seed. And if the Giants lose to the redskins, then the panthers can get a 1st round bye
