As we all know, Dwight is representing Team USA in the World Championships and Carlos Arroyo (Puerto Rico) and Darko Milicic (Serbia). This thread will be to discuss their performances and anything concerning them and the Olympics. In Dwight Howard's first game (exhibition) against Puerto Rico, Dwight dominated the glass grabbing 10 rebounds in just 12 minutes. He also chipped in 5 points and went 2-3 from the field. Hopefully he gets some more minutes next because he definently deserves more playing time than Bosh who was jacking up threes all night. Arroyo also looked very good and had a couple of strong drives and lead Puerto Rico. He was a big reason that it was a close game for the first two quarters before USA pulled away.
It was amazing watching Dwight grab the rebounds, it seemed like he got up at least a foot to 2 feet higher than everyone else. I just wish that the guards would have given him the ball in the post, his 2 baskets were dunks off of fast breaks and his miss was off of an offensive rebound in which he went right up and missed a layup. HOw about Arroyo last night? He looked very good. I would make this the official Magic Olympic thread so we can talk about Arroyo and Darko in here too.
Arroyo just cruised through most of the USA defenders. He did well. Dwight could've dominated on the boards if he played more.

carlos was doing well, driving with ease early on. unfortunately i didnt see that much of dwight because i was with my friend and we didnt watch the whole game. but what i did see he was doing pretty well himself.
I just wanna see Dwight get the ball in the low post and see how the moves that he has been working on looks.
Arroyo are going to be one of the leaders of the tournament with 20pts per game I think this is the only way that PR can win
They played Macedonia in an exhibition game and SP23, I'm pretty sure he starts. Here is an article about the game. It was originally written in Serbia so some of the translated English is a bit choppy. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The basketball National Team of Serbia and Montenegro beat the Macedonian National Team 94-79 in the Pioneer Hall in Belgrade. The players, wearing white jerseys completely dominated in their only preparation match played in front of their own crowd as they prepare for the World Championships in Japan, which starts August 19th. The game had a humanitarian character and was organized in cooperation with the Serbian Royal Family Karadjordjevic. All the players of the Serbian team had made an appearance on the floor, and with the exception of Milenko Tepic all of them scored. Darko Milicic was exceptional, scoring 23 points, and Igor Rakocevic scored 18. The Serbia & Montenegro completely outrebounded their southern neighbours - 36 to 19. From the outside Branko Jorovic was excellent and Bojan Popovic was good as well. At the end of the game the team was bid farewell and good luck by Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic and the crowd sent them off with applause. The National Team travels to Singapore on Monday where they will play a tournament against, Spain, Slovenia and Argentina.</div> Here is the Serbian link: http://www.b92.net/sport/kosarka.php?nav_i...m=08&yyyy=20066

Also guys, keep in mind that these averages are with little playing time. In each of the first two games, he played a little more than 10 minutes per game so he never really got a chance to shine like guys like LeBron, Melo, and Wade did.
Here is Dwight's stat sheet from today's game against Brazil. 4 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block, 1-3 FG, 2-6 FT, 12 minutes Complete Box Score: http://www.usabasketball.com/seniormen/200...ition_box3.html Dwight really needs to work on his free throws.
