I'm sorry but you don't draft a guy in the first round just to stop Mike Vick...I'd hope John Fox was thinking his role would expand slightly beyond that.

Lecharles Bently was drafted to stop Kris Jenkins, and he turned out to be on of the best centers. Green Bay drafted Al Harris to stop Randy Moss and he turned out to be a good corner. So some of the guys drafted to stop another player turn out to be great players

Not the case. They drafted Lecharles bentley to play gaurd/center. They drafted Al harris to play corner. They drafted Thomas Davis to play S/LB. The only difference is Davis isnt good enough in coverage to be an everydown S, and not good enough vs run to be an everydown LB. So GB and NO drafted starters, and Carolina drafted a situational/special teams player. It is a good 3rd rd pick, not so good for 1st

Not fair to call Thomas Davis a bust and Rex Grossman a good QB when Davis has played in more games in a year then Grossman has in 3 years... I didn't see anything to great about Grossman on Sunday night but I'll get a good look on Christmas Day..

Thomas Davis is comming along great. I can see a huge difference from week 1 till week 16. He is making solid tackles, and is getting better in the pass.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Im gonna laugh when Thomas Davis makes it to the pro bowl as the one special teamer that goes. Because on special teams he is dominating.</div>
Guess we will be waiting another year on this one, eh?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>Wow I didn't know Rex Grossman's 47.1 QB rating makes him a great QB with a great arm. Lets be real he was bailed out by that fumble with a little luck....

Grossman is in his 3rd year. Davis is a rookie. Lets wait and see on Davis is all I'm saying.. Also lets wait a couple more games until Grossman is this so called savior because he played horrible last night and that seemed to be forgotten because they won.. Anyone would of won as the Bears QB against the Falcons last night...

Javon Walker didn't start for his first 2 years in the NFL and he finally broke out a year ago. How come Davis can't do that either??? Samething really. Davis gets to play and make his tackles as a rookie and Walker got to make his catches as a rookie...

Wait a little before you proclaim someone a Bust or otherwise I think Cedrick Benson deserves a little spotlight along with Davis maybe..</div>
I agree that the fumble saved him but in fairness other than that he looked pretty good.....at least he was finding open receivers, with a good running game and a passing attack that will get you bout 180 yards a game i think the bears will be in the NFC Championship game
