Vanessa Carlton- A thousand miles I don't care what anyone says this song is hot!! It's nice and calm and good to listen to once in a while.
Mine would have to be the bands Coldplay and Snow Patrol. I liked them before they got big or even became known in the US, basically. Coldplay just plain ol' sucks right now since Chris Martin lost his inspiration. The band was never actually very talented they just played basic tunes and put it together right to make classic albums. Which are basically their first two Blue Room (EP) and Parachutes. AROBTTH was pretty weak with exception of a few tracks. X & Y is a cheese factory with those lyrics and the 80's sound mixture attempt just blows. Snow Patrol is still doing a pretty good job with their tunes but they're too poppish and since I'm well known for being one of the toughest critics on music some find it odd I listen to a very simple band like this. But what can I say? They make some catchy tracks that are pretty well written. I'm expecting their next sell out album to be a huge flop though so if you're a fan and you didn't like what happened to Coldplay then bite your tongue now and save yourself the agony. If it be that I'm wrong then congrats to them.
idk im not ashamed but i listen to neyo, some of my freinds say that its wack for me to listen to him but i like his musix
M Two One. . you've summed up Coldplay for me as well. But I'll admit they're my second favorite band now (Oasis is amazing). As for the topic. . hmm. . I'll admit to listening to anything, really. What could be considered as "odd": I listen to Natalie Imbruglia, and Jewel.

Venus is the ultimate experience, but I'll admit it's tough for most people to get into them because of the new type of genre they create.
Rhianna - S.O.S. Lil Wayne - Hustler Music - he ain't spittin that good but the beat is ill and he does a good job at makin it catchy

Uh Linkin Park. Only that one song from like 4 years back...I forget the name somehow. And Here Without You by 3 Doors down, the remix with Jay Z
Shaq ft. Biggie - U Can't Stop The Reign.............Shaq actually rhymes pretty good in this song (which he hardly ever does) and Biggie's swagger is just great.........and so is the beat.

cosign on the Vanessa Carlton..........one day I was in the mall paying for something at the cash register and that song was playing over the loud speakers and I was singing along with it and the cashier gave me this strange look and asked me if I liked the song..........I lied and said "I don't like it I just know the words."
Chris Browns songs aren't that bad....I wouldn't go around claiming to be a fan of his though 3 6 Mafia - Stay High............I HATE 3 6 Mafia with a passion, but this is the only song they've ever made that I actually enjoy....the beat is just bannanas.
Guilty pleasures huh? haha good topic....where do I start?: Paul Wall.... I'm ashamed to like any of that mainstream southern/urban rap they keep playing on the radio, but I gotta admit, Paul Wall is talented and his flow is pretty sweet. Ashlee Simpson - Pieces of me...... okay, this was BEFORE it got killed on the radio, before she had that dumb show of hers, and before I realized how annoying she is..... I have to admit though, when the song first came out I thought it was pretty good. Kelly Clarkson..... there's a few songs of hers that I like. I've always respected artists who can actually sing. 50 Cent - In the Club..... I know a lot of ppl are 50 cent fans, but c'mon, he's probably the most overrated rap artist ever. Having said that, I'm ashamed to admit I actually had this song on my playlist. Justin Timberlake.... Actually, I probably shouldn't put this here cuz I'm not ashamed to admit I like his songs. Rock Your Body and Like I Love You were my favourite songs for while. Those are just the recent songs/artists that are guilty pleasures for me. But if we were to go back to the 80s/90s, there's a whole bunch I can name. Remember that scene in Harold and Kumar where they started singing to "Wilson Philips - Hold On"?? I actually remembered the lines to the song too, so I was singing along with them.
