<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With Al Harrington firing agent Andy Miller last week, a door was opened which may allow other teams to re-enter the stakes for the scoring forward. Harrington appeared to be a lock to return to the Pacers, but with the deal continually being delayed after the teams couldn't agree on a right mix for the deal he got frustrated and relieved Miller of his duties, opting for Arn Tellem to represent him instead.

Other teams - with Minnesota reportedly showing renewed interest - have re-entered the mix, according to the Boston Herald, guaranteeing a prolonged drama.

Hawks general manager Billy Knight, in keeping a disciplined eye on the salary cap, is asking for draft picks instead of veteran contracts in any Harrington deal, and the Pacers haven?t been able to offer the right package - all of this despite the allure of a $7.5 million trade exception that would make most deals work. </div>

What do you guys think about this? Can Al work well with KG?

Al isnt worth draft picks imo, i say no. He isnt all that good, but would be nice with kg. If we get him cheap, then its fine

Well if you get him and become good, then the draft picks won't be that great anyways...

Did anyone read KG in Slam. Sounds like he isnt satisfied with the offseason moves made so far. If the Wolves dont make a real serious run this year it may be our last with the Big Ticket

i shouldnt bank on Mchale using his brain though

Right now, I think Al Harrington is more important to the Wolves than the draft picks would be. If Minnesota wants to win now then they need a consistent second option on offense and Harrington can fill the need.

Sure, draft picks are important but when Garnett is threatening to leave unless the team improves, they really need to make some moves quick. If they get Al at least it shows they are trying to surround KG with talent. The team they have assembled right now just isn't going to cut it.

^^You really think we need more scorers? We have RD, KG, and Mike James who could all score 20 ppg next season. Plus with hassell and Foye likely in the teens, we shoudl begood scoring wise, we need a bruiser badly i think. And more depth

Oh yeah, I forgot you guys got Mike James. Man, that isn't the type of point guard this team needs.

You need a distributor, not someone who looks to score before getting his teammates involved. I still don't get that signing.

^^we actually need a scorer, since kg is our main distributer, and pretty much always have been. I think a mike james pg was perfect for us. He scores and gets 6 apg, not too shabby.
