Who do you think is more important of a guard? We all know that Dooling is a 2-guard, but with Redick being a pure 2 and Bogans logging minutes there as well, I don't think that there are as many minutes for Dooling there which forces him to play more point guard, but that still doesn't give him that many minutes since Arroyo and Diener are already there as well.
More important? I think Arroyo is more important and a great backup guard. He's showng his talents on the Puerto Rico team and he brings more fans to Orlando, when he gets called the crowd gets really loud. He was a steal in that deal we made with Detroit. Dooling is a good bench player, always ready to contribute, and he's important because if Redick or Bogans gets injured then we can go to him.
if u need a solid point gurad ill pick arroyo because i doubt jamir nelson canstep up and take the pressure
I like them both. If one of our PGs goes down, we don't lose too much because we have two people to take their place
I like Arroyo a lot more. He is more consistent than Dooling and is more of a pure point guard than Dooling. While I love Keyon's defense, I don't think his decision making is good enough. Also, Arroyo brings in tons of fans and we need all the fan support we can get. If I had to choose one to keep, I'd say Arroyo in a long shot. There were times last season where he looked like starting point guard material and I just hope he stays happy here and doesn't want a bigger role ahead of Jameer.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting manny34:</div><div class="quote_post">if u need a solid point gurad ill pick arroyo because i doubt jamir nelson canstep up and take the pressure</div> Jameer* can handle the pressure. Everyone thinks he's morethan legit, he's probably the best PG in the division after Gilbert Arenas, and there are many good ones (Jason Williams, Raymond Felton, now Speedy Claxton.) I don't understand it. Jameer is one of the better point guards and he's got the best platoon of back ups in the league. We have one of the most solid guard rotations in theleague at this point. That said I think I like Dooling more than Arroyo. He's not as solid, but he's more explosive, and I like the explosion. Again though, Arroyo should probably log more time.
Also, last season when Arroyo was playing more minutes, it seemed like him and Dwight were developing some chemistry.
i love dooling just because he has height and hes athletic. He was one my favorite players on the heat. But arroyo is better for this system.
I think we should keep both but when it comes to the depth chart, I'd put Arroyo ahead of Dooling any day.
