Take it for what it?s worth, but I am hearing rumors that we are talking about a sign and trade deal involving Drew Gooden. We would Chris Duhon and Michael Sweetney in return. I will try to get some confirmation articles, but I don?t like this rumor in the least unless Gooden gets a contract worth about five million a year which I doubt.

Chris Duhon is a locker room leader who keeps guys in check and always gives back to the community off the court. Meanwhile, Michael Sweetney is a diet away from breaking out into a solid above average player. I?m talking about 13-15 points a game. He was well on his way to that when we acquired him from New York. We will see though?

I wanted want to do this. Duhon and Sweets for Gooden. Sweets can score in the post and has a nice jumpshot. If he got in better shape, he could actually stay out on the court longer if he was also. And like you said Duhon is a locker room leader.

Don't like this. This'll kill the development of Tyrus. I'd rather see him getting 20mpg than bringing over Drew Gooden. Beyond that, Duhon is a great backup point guard. He gives us a different look than Kirk when he's on the court. Sweets is also a decent low post scorer. If he could just get into shape, he'd be a lot better than what he is. No way do I like this trade. Drew Gooden will cost too much money, and he could potentially hurt the development of Tyrus Thomas.

I couldn't see Duhon and Sweetney going over for Gooden. This is a horrible trade idea if there is any truth to it because then the Bulls lose their rotation guard who is a valuable leader to the team. They also lose Sweetney who could become a providing center/forward next season. This also makes the original PF slot over crowded.

He was one of the Bulls captains along with Hinrich.

Back to the trade idea. I don't like this at all for us. Duhon is one of our captains. He is a pretty good backup point guard and does a good job when he starts as well. And if Sweets gets into shape he could provide about the same production as Gooden while costing us less money. Also like mentioned it will crowd our PF spot. I want to see Thomas play more so he can develop and gain NBA experience. Hopefully this rumor is false.

Bad trade for the Bulls. The 3/4 spot is already jammed enough, Gooden will only take away minutes from the core players.

Bad trade. We've lost Pargo and if we lose Duhon we have no backup point. I hear Sefolasha can handle like a piont, but I doubt he can run the point.
Also like BKS mentioned, Gooden will likely cost more than hes probably worth.
And like a few of you guys mentioned, Sweets is promising.

I think Johnny "Red" Kerr spoke about that enough last season and the one before that even.

"Captain Kirk, Chris Duhon, and Othella Harrington."

    Now Othella is gone though.
