What? Hinrich represents the us and Nocioni for argentina, i was curious if anyone else was since there are so many players from different backgrounds on this team.
Easy win for team USA against Australia. And SI.com's Kelly Dwyer had this to say about hinrich afterwards: "The little guys are helping in that area, as Hinrich's 4.2 rebounds per game ranks third on Team USA behind Bosh and Howard. Hinrich was everywhere in that second quarter against the Aussies, creating havoc in the passing lanes, forcing opponents into bad passes that invariably ended up as a turnover a few moves later -- one that would sometimes see Hinrich gobble up the loose ball. As good as Chris Paul (4.8 assists for every one turnover so far in the tournament) has been on offense, Hinrich has been on defense -- and nowhere was this more evident than in Team USA's thorough domination of the Aussies in the second quarter on Sunday."

But on a team of stars filling roles, Hinrich understands his team-high five assists and ability to orchestrate the offense are why he was selected. The U.S. team (6-0) advances to a medal-round quarterfinal Wednesday against Germany (5-1). ''Playing against Germany, we obviously have to face the big fella, Dirk [Nowitzki],'' Hinrich said after Sunday's game. ''He's an amazing player. He poses unbelievable matchup problems for any team, either in the NBA or here. He is used to playing internationally and with his German teammates. He poses a real challenge. We are going to have to do a great job on him and his team as a whole. ''We are not looking past anyone. We know they are a team to be reckoned with.'' Hinrich, who didn't commit a turnover Sunday, is averaging 6.2 points, 2.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 19 minutes. He's shooting 44 percent from the field and 54 percent (7-of-13) from three-point range. Reached via e-mail, Hinrich shared his thoughts about the tournament:</div> Source
