Ok I have seen these debate threads on JBB and I thought it would be cool to have one for us. I have talked with Locke, and he is going to help me with this tournament. This thread is for people to sign up. You guys have till Aug. 11th to sign up. I am giving you guys 3 days. I think that will be enough for everyone to sign up. Remember, this thread is only for signing up. All you have to do to sign up is put your JBB name. As many people as we can get, the better it will be. So after the signing up is over, I will randomly select 4 people to debate on a topic that Locke will pick for you guys. The 4 debators will have 4 days to do their debate. After the 4 days are over, Locke will make a poll on the same thread. People will then vote and then we will have our winner depending on who gets the most votes. The winner will then pass on to the next round. So again, the more people we get, the better this tournament will be. This tournament is onnly for the first 16 people who signup. <u>HOW IT WILL WORK</u> 1. Signing up for the Tournament will be till Aug. 11. 2. Umair will randomly pick 2 debators to debate on a topic. 3. 4 debators will have 4 days to debate on the topic that they are given. 4. The first match of the debate will start on Aug. 12. 5. After the first round is over. The loser are eliminated and winners move to the second round. This is single elimination. 6. This is very simple. Two people go head to head for 4 days on their topic. Then we have a poll to see who the winner is. Remember, the 4 people who debated cant vote on that poll. Then the winner is selected and the winner moves on to the next round. And like that we go till the Finals and have a winner. 7. Remember this also.The winner will get a sig stating "Rockets Debate Winner." I guess that will be a good prize since I cant think of anything else. 8. Last but not least, Thank you Locke for giving me a hand in this Tournament. So guys start signing up!
