Okay here's the thing, when I was younger, I started this whole book thing. I stored it away in the attic & I found it when I was cleaning it out. I know you all probably won't read all of it, but atleast read some of it and let me know what you think? If it's good enough I may try to finish it, but if it's whack I don't even wanna finish it. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Have you ever been abused to the point where you just don't feel like living? That's how I felt for the past 7 years. Now I'm 16 and ready to end all the pain. Let me take you back to the first day I started living in hell. It was a dark, stormy night. My step-dad was watching me while my Mom was at work. I ran up to him and said, "John, I'm scared. Will you hold me?" "No, go get in bed!" He said. "But, I'm really scared. It's thundering bad outside." I said in a whining voice. "Bobby! Get your ass in that bed now! You're 8 years old, don't you think it's time to start acting like it?" He shouted back. "Please, John, I'm really scared. Please, don't make me go in there by myself." He raised his hand back and slapped me right in the face. "Go get your ass in bed right this minute!" He said in a deep, scary voice. The next morning he woke me up and said, "Please don't tell your Mom I hit you. I didn't mean to hurt you, it just annoyed me because you wouldn't listen. You know I love you, right?" I didn't know what to think 'cause John was always real nice. For the next couple of days John was being real nice to me. He even bought me these sweet shoes that had my name stitched on the sides of them. He got drunk one night while he was watching me. He came up to me and said, "Why aren't you in bed, young man?" "It's only 8:00." I said. "Well, that's still too late for you. Get in bed!" He shouted. "My Mom always lets me stay up at this time" I said. "Are you back talking me?!" He screamed. "No, but-but" I stuttered. He punched me hard before I could even finish what I was saying. My Mom walked in as I was lying on the ground. "Oh my God, what happened?" She asked. "He just fell down the stairs, Amy" Said, John. My Mom took me upstairs and cleaned me up, she asks me, "What happened you you, son?" I really didn't know what to say, so I just said I fell. My jaw was very sore and swollen for the next few days. This is when things get really bad. He walked up to me and said, "Bobby, don't you dare say anything to your Mom about me hitting you." "What if I do?" I said. "Do it and I guarantee I'll be the last person you ever tell on!" He snapped back. I took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I won't say anything." "Good boy" He said, with a smile on his face. The day's finally here, first day of school! I was one of the kids who actually liked going to school. I wasn't liked very well by the other kids, but I didn't care as long as it got me away from my step-dad. I went and talked to a lot of the kids, all they did was make fun of me. I wasn't the cutest little kid, I knew I would grow into my looks though. Just when I started to give up on trying to make new friends, this kid walks up to me and says, "Hi, I'm Justin. What's your name?" I jumped up and looked around, "Are-are you talking to me?" He laughed and said, "Yeah, what's your name?" "I'm Bobby!" I said with a big smile on my face. "Nice to meet you, Bobby" He said. "Nice to meet you too, Justin" I said, smiling ear to ear. I went home and told my Mom about my new best friend. I was so happy! She said, "Congratulations, Bobby. I'm happy for you!" The next morning I woke up all by myself. I was getting ready in the bathroom when my step-dad came in, he said, "Bobby, I don't know why you got to come here and tell lies straight to your Mother's face." "But, I'm not lying! I really have a friend" I said. "Okay, just tell me who would want to be friends with a person like you? He smirked. "Um, Justin would." I said back. "Don't 'um' me you little bastard!" He screamed. "I didn't mean to" I said, in a scared voice. "Why are you acting so scared for? Do you want me to give you something to be scared of? "No, sir" I said. He rolled his eyes and walked off. Justin and I ate lunch together today, I was so happy that I finally got a friend. At recess another boy came up to me and said, "What's up, man? I'm Xavier. You are?" "I'm Bobby!" I was so happy because now I have TWO friends! He said, "Cool, you wanna shoot some hoops with me?" I said, "I would like to but we can't get guns in school" He busted up laughing. "What are you laughing at?" I asked. "I mean, you wanna play some basketball with me?" By this point I felt pretty foolish, I said, "Yeah, okay, sure" I called Justin over and asked him if he wanted to play to, but he said he didn't like sports. So me and Xavier shot some hoops. I didn't make anything, I sucked at it. I was very disappointed because he was good at it. He told me not to worry about 'cause he'll teach me. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah" He said. "Awesome!" I said back. Second day of school os over and I already had 2 friends! I told my Mom all about it when she picked me up, I could see John in the front seat just rolling his eyes. He does that a lot, especially when I'm around. It took me a while to fall asleep because I was thinking about tomorrow and how cool it would be if I made a new friend everyday. It was about 9:30 before I finally fell asleep. My Mom had to go to the store 'cause she said she needed some "woman" things. I didn't know what she meant by that though. John came in my room about 10:00 and said, "Okay, your Mom finally left. Now I want you to stop your damn lying!" "About what?" I asked. "You know what I'm talking about. Quit coming home and talkin' about how many friends you made. Me and you both know that you don't have no damn friends." "I really do, John" I said. "Imaginary friends doesn't count" "No, they're real. Me and Xavier played basketball today" "Quit lying, Bobby. It's really starting to piss me off, boy!" "I'm not lying! Why won't you believe me?" I shouted. "Boy don't you ever raise your voice to me like that again" He screamed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" I said real fast. "Get up, now!" He said. "No, I'm sorry, I won't do it again" I cried. "Get out of bed now!" He said. "No, I'm really sorry, John. I won't do it again. I promise" I said. "Bobby, I'm going to give you til' the count of 3.." He said. "I'm sorry" "1.." "John, please! I'm sorry" "2.." "Please, please, don't do this to me" I pulled the covers over my head. "3.." He said, "Stay here, I'll be right back" I was so scared. I was crying and begging him not to do anything. He came back in there with a belt, he said, "Bobby, I'm not playing. Get over here, now!" I ran into the living room and hid behind the couch. He came chasing after me and cursing me out, "Bobby, come here. I will find you" He looked under the coffee table, then he looked behind the t.v. He looked behind the couch "I found you" he shouted. He picked me up, I was kicking and screaming. "Let me go, let me go, let me go!". "Don't hit me you bastard" he said as he threw me. He then came over there, put his foot on my stomach and said, "Now, listen to me, okay? When your Mom asks you what happened, you say, 'I was playing with John and I fell down the stairs'. Okay?" All I could do was groan. He kept pushing his foot on my stomach as he said, "Do you understand me?" I said, "Yes, sir". John was asleep by the time Mom got home, I was still awake. I just couldn't sleep after something like that, who could? I was lying up by the wall when Mom walked through the door. She runs up and asks, "Bobby? Are you okay, son?" "Yeah" I said, in a soft, sad voice. "Why are you up?" She asks me. "I just had a bad dream, mama" I said. "Okay, well, lets get you in the bed, alright?" She said. She picked me up and carried me to the door. She said, "I love you son. Sweet dreams" as she kissed me on my forehead. I just lyed there and stared at the ceiling. After about 20 minutes I heard John say, "Amy, I don't know why he's up. I would never hurt that kid. You know I love him just as much as I love you" I just turned around and went to sleep. </div> Thanks to all of you that actually read all of it. =)
Is this a true story? If it is, I wanna kick your step dad's ass. People like him need to be locked up for life. Anyways, it was really good. There was a top seller a lot like that called, "A Child Called It" that was really popular a few years ago. I'd buy it and read it.
Nah, it's not a true story or anything. A Child Called It? I've heard of it, but I haven't read it. Maybe I should get it so I don't make my story too much like it. Thanks for the comment, though.
Oh thank God it's not real. I was like man this kid's been through a lot. I'll be his friend! Good read though. I was mad when it ended because I wanted to see what happend when the Mom came home.
Yeah, I started it, but I got busy with sports & sh*t so I never really had time to finish it. I'll probably work on some more of it tonight though. I was reading it and thought, "damn, they're going to be disappointed at the way it ends, that is, if they actually like it"
Thanks, Orlandoman. I added a little bit more. I have a question, am I sayin', "I said" "she said" "he said" too much?
