Last year the Heat basicaly coasted through their season and then turned it on when the playoffs started. With the East even tougher this year can Miami still afford to do that?
All though I want to see the team give 100% in the regular season, the truth is we would still make the playoffs if we played average in the regular season. Its risky, but we would still get home court either way. Our regular season wasn't that bad last year, we played good enough to be the 2nd seed. As long as we give it all we got in the playoffs, then its fine with me.
They just need a top 3-4 seed. The best teams can win on the road anyways. Let the other teams fight for the #1 seed and risk injuries/fatigue.
Well, I wouldn't want to rush Shaq into games next season (if he gets hurt) in order to win the 1st seed. You people should be able to coast a bit.
Well I'd prefer the Heat to play the majority of their playoffs games at home since they fair well at home in the playoffs. We need be dominate throughout the season but they key is we need momentum going into the playoffs. I don't think we can 'coast' but we have to give maximum effort each game and if injuries come up, then the coaching staff and players have to do what's in the team's best interest.
