lol wow I'm surprised it took about a page to clear it up. It's something simple to understand. Umair, you were just looking at it from a more complicated view and meaning.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Junoon:</div><div class="quote_post">Exactly. Why is Kobe even in this conversation when this year was the first time he's gotten recognition in terms of being close to the MVP award. He has plenty of years left to win the award. I realize he was putting up great numbers in 2003 as well, but I would have chosen Duncan or Kidd over him then too.

I found Nash's MVP award this year to be more justified then his award in 2005. That Phx team was rail thin and got to the WCF...that is no easy task.</div>

I agree, Nash attack hands down the winner no doubt!

Hey, does Nash have a nickname or a shoe named after him?? If not, why the hell not? And, I just came up with "Nash Attack". [IMG]

Best player not to win an MVP would have to be Robert Parish. The Chief won championships and played until he was 73. I believe he was even born in the 1800s.

There was also about 30-40% more available rebounds, so for example a 27 RPG average in 48 MPG on a year where there's 35% more rebounds would be a 14.6 RPG season for a guy playing 40 MPG right now. Which is great, but doesn't look so cool in comparison. If the guy still played 48 MPG, that's 17.6 RPG. Rodman was still a better rebounder than that. Rebounds are the most inflated stat due to the pace of the past, some people don't want to understand the simple math though, mainly those who want to believe that Russell and Wilt were 20 RPG players in any time, but don't realize it doesn't work. Nothing else is really inflated much though, scoring a little, but for the guys who could shoot outside well, three's will cover some of that, passing no because before it was harder to get assists.

Much higher pace, much lower FG%.
