lol wow I'm surprised it took about a page to clear it up. It's something simple to understand. Umair, you were just looking at it from a more complicated view and meaning.
I really didnt understand. Sorry, ey, but atleast I got what they were saying. thats all that matters..Thanks to Durvasa..
D. Wilkins of the Hawks. He was always busting his rump for his team. He & Spudd had some amazing yrs. Kobe AI The Pistol Chris Mullin
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">AI won a MVP award in 00-01 when the Sixers went to the finals.</div> I had no idea, was out of the loop for a few yrs. Tks for the heads up.
not sure if said but pippen. that one year that jordan retiered and he still led the bulls to 50 wins.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting stalefish_27:</div><div class="quote_post">Although he won the MVP many times, the BIGGEST mvp robbery was in 1961 when Chamberlain averaged 50.4 and 25.7 and Oscar Robertson averaged a Triple-Double of 30.8, 12,5 and 11,4. The MVP went to Bill Russell.</div> lmao what were bill rusells numbers that ear
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Junoon:</div><div class="quote_post">Exactly. Why is Kobe even in this conversation when this year was the first time he's gotten recognition in terms of being close to the MVP award. He has plenty of years left to win the award. I realize he was putting up great numbers in 2003 as well, but I would have chosen Duncan or Kidd over him then too. I found Nash's MVP award this year to be more justified then his award in 2005. That Phx team was rail thin and got to the WCF...that is no easy task.</div> I agree, Nash attack hands down the winner no doubt! Hey, does Nash have a nickname or a shoe named after him?? If not, why the hell not? And, I just came up with "Nash Attack".
Best player not to win an MVP would have to be Robert Parish. The Chief won championships and played until he was 73. I believe he was even born in the 1800s.
^^lol you totally contradicted yourself in a funny way, but he was more of a role player his whole career
There was also about 30-40% more available rebounds, so for example a 27 RPG average in 48 MPG on a year where there's 35% more rebounds would be a 14.6 RPG season for a guy playing 40 MPG right now. Which is great, but doesn't look so cool in comparison. If the guy still played 48 MPG, that's 17.6 RPG. Rodman was still a better rebounder than that. Rebounds are the most inflated stat due to the pace of the past, some people don't want to understand the simple math though, mainly those who want to believe that Russell and Wilt were 20 RPG players in any time, but don't realize it doesn't work. Nothing else is really inflated much though, scoring a little, but for the guys who could shoot outside well, three's will cover some of that, passing no because before it was harder to get assists.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Umair15:</div><div class="quote_post">How the hell did Russell and Wilt average like 25 rebounds each??</div> Much higher pace, much lower FG%.
