Now I know the chances of getting KG is small, but I figured we can get a discussion going since Nets news is pretty much dead right now. Now the deal that I am sure Minny will take is RJ and VC for KG. Now I know we don't we don't want to deal both. We could package VC and some fillers but I don't know if Minny will bite on that. Seeing as how, they might get a better deal from LA,GS,or Chicago. Then again we could always try to get a third team involved in a deal. I heard of this idea from another board. Nets Give: VC, McInnis, Nachbar Recieve: KG Memphis Give:Swift Recieve: McInnis, Nachbar Minnesota Give: KG Recieve: VC, Swift The question is would this be enough. Your thoughts?
I assume that you talking about Robert Swift. I do not think that the salaries would match up: Carter + Swift != (do not equal with 20%) Garnett.

Trade ID-3336110.
id rather give up nenad,rj and either antoine wright, marcus williams, or josh boone. no more than 3 players. and all the first round picks they want lol
I don't see why Memphis does it. They have Damon Stoudamire, Chuckie Atkins (I'm not sure if he's still signed, but regardless), Kyle Lowry. As far as swingmen they have Eddie Jones, Mike Miller, Rudy Gay, Dahntay Jones, with Brian Cardinal and Hakim Warrick both being able to play the 3, what Nachbar is more suited for.
I don't really care much for KG anymore. Our team will be fine if we pick up a good PF/C in the free agency.
Unless it's for multiple draft picks and expiring contracts, there is no reason why the Wolves should trade Garnett. If the Wolves only acquire Carter and Swift for Garnett then there's no reason to trade him in the first place. Getting young players and cap space is the perfect situation to rebuild with. If Garnett absolutely demands out, then I would resort to that trade, since he has a player option next season.

We would kill our future. The only player I would give up on that list is Wright because I don't think he will be a big loss, since we have Adams. Either Carter or no deal. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't really care much for KG anymore. There isn't a big possibility that we are going to get KG. But if we do I would want for us to trade RJ, Krstic, and a couple first round picks for KG.

Why not trade Carter, since he might leave anyway?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NbaBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Why RJ and Krstic? They are the future of the Nets. Why not trade Carter, since he might leave anyway?</div> cuz rj would make more sense for them. he is so underrated. he could finally be the star that he is. he is also younger and cheaper. and if we get kg, carter wont leave. because we would for sure be championship contenders with kidd AND kg. carter also loves kidd, and he has been friends with kg since high school. and we wouldnt need nenad. without nenad in the trade, it would make it less tempting to make the deal in minnesota's side. we can start collins instead in his place. with THREE STAR FRANCHISE PLAYERS, all you need is a supporting cast of shooters, rebounders and defenders which they can get in trade or through the mle every year. who cares if they go over the luxury threshold because they would be anybody's first choice for championship contenders.

How the heck did Stro end up back with Memphis, and how the heck did I miss such news. Anyway, why the hell would Memphis want to do this. They are giving way too much for nothing much in return.

Well Stro is pretty lazy and I'm sure they would trade him for the right price.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">Why would minny do this?????????</div> Jefferson is probably one of the most underrated players in the NBA and Nenad Krstic will be a great big man in the future. Plus you guys also get a couple of first round picks for the future. KG wants to win now and he could do that with Kidd and Carter.
